According to sources in Pakistan's ministry of interior, the names of at least 150 people have been removed from Pakistan's Exit Control List(ECL).

The prominent personalities who have been struck off the Exit Control List include PM Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan's interior minister Rana Sanaullah, ex-PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.

The country's defence minister Khawaja Asif has also reportedly been taken off the exit list. Former President Asif Ali Zardari's name has also been struck off the list, sources say.

Ex- prime minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz has also reportedly been taken off the no-fly list. The names were reportedly put on the list after recommendations from &nbsp;NAB and FIA.&nbsp;

However, reports claim the names recommended by the judiciary and those recommended by agencies will continue to remain on the list.

A two-judge bench comprising Justice Muhammad Tariq Abbasi and Chaudhry Mushtaq Ahmad will take up the petition on the said date, The News International reported.

The petition filed on December 21, last year, seeks the removal of Maryam's name from the no-fly list as well as one-time permission to travel abroad.

Maryam, the daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who is currently undergoing treatment in London, had first approached the court with this request on December 7.

The petition was disposed of two days later. Maryam and her father were placed on the ECL on August 20, 2018.

Maryam is currently free on bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, in which she is a suspect, but her name remains on the no-fly list.

Nawaz Sharif, on the other hand, travelled to London in November, last year, after the government and courts granted him permission to fly abroad on medical grounds.

Pakistan's Interior Ministry on Wednesday had decided to grant Sharif a "one-time" permission to travel abroad for medical treatment for four weeks provided that he submits an indemnity bond of Rs 7 billion. The decision, however, was snubbed by the PML-N and challenged in the Lahore High Court on Friday.

'No grudge' against Nawaz Sharif: Pakistan PM Imran Khan

Lahore High Court asks for government's response to Nawaz Sharif's plea to fly abroad
