<p>A 17-year-old student from the East High School in Denver who was accused of shooting and wounding two faculty members was found dead near his vehicle in Park County. In a Facebook post, the Park County Coroners Office confirmed that the body belonged to Austin Lyle, who shot faculty members as they were patting him down for weapons as part of a "safety plan" devised for the youth based on previous behavioural issues.</p>

<p>Lyle had fled the scene immediately after Wednesday's shooting.&nbsp;"This particular student had a safety plan that was in place where they were to be searched at the beginning of the school day every day," Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas said during a press conference, according to a report by the news agency Reuters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thomas added that the two faculty members were taken to a hospital where one was listed in critical condition and undergoing surgery, and the other was in serious but stable condition.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In light of this shooting, two armed police officers will be returned to East High School, for the rest of the current academic year, District Superintendent Alex Marrero said, adding classes for the school's 2,500 students will be cancelled for the rest of the week.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This shooting in Denver comes just two days after one student was killed and another injured in a shooting incident outside a school in Dallas, Texas on Monday. The shooting occurred at Lamar High School in Arlington.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The police said they believed that the shooter did not enter the campus. "Officers were able to locate and take that individual into custody shortly after arriving on scene," the police said without releasing any further information.&nbsp;</p>
