Special counsel Jack Smith of the US Department of Justice (DOJ) has planned to end his two prosecutions of United States President-elect Donald Trump and resign before the 2024 presidential election winner takes office, the New York Times reported citing people familiar with his plans.&nbsp;

The sources said that Smith's goal is to not leave any significant part of his work for others to complete, adding that he will get ahead of Trump's promise to fire him within “two seconds” of being sworn in.

However, Smith's office is still building its plan for how to end the cases, and there are chances that unforeseen circumstances, including judicial rulings or decisions by other government officials, could alter his timeline.&nbsp;

In his coverage on the news channel, Hegseth has been an advocate of Israel.

In 2016, during an interview with the Jewish Press, Hegseth said, "This is not some mystical land that can be dismissed." He was referring to biblical and historical sites in Israel.&nbsp;

Post the announcement, the Tesla boss expressed, “A lot of people who are taking advantage of the government are going to be upset about it… I need a lot of security, but it’s got to be done, and if it’s not done, we’ll just go bankrupt.”

Musk sees this initiative as critical to addressing the nation’s unsustainable fiscal path, pointing out, “Our defence budget is pretty gigantic. It’s a trillion dollars. This is not sustainable. That’s why we need the Department of Government Efficiency.”

But Conway, a senior adviser during Trump’s first term, who has initially advocated for TikTok in US Congress over the last year, stated in a conversation with the Washington Post that she anticipates Trump to intervene on the social media firm’s part.

China has been relying more on exports to compensate for the weakness of domestic demand that Beijing has only recently tried to redress by injecting stimulus into the economy.

The increasingly lopsided picture has generated pushback from a growing number of countries, and the new Trump administration is likely to impose tariffs that would reduce the flow of exports to the US. China approaches $1 trillion trade surplus as Donald Trump makes a comeback

US President-elect Donald Trump announced another name for his Trump 2.0 administration- Mike Waltz. The Florida Congressman Waltz is set to be Trump’s National Security Advisor (NSA), reported The Associated Press on Monday citing sources familiar with the development.

Now, the proceedings have been halted till Nov. 19.&nbsp;

The judge made the decision following a recommendation from&nbsp;the office of the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, who referred to Trump's victory in the 2024 elections. Trump had earlier asked&nbsp;Bragg to agree to the delay.

Earlier this year, the US Supreme Court ruled that Trump can’t be prosecuted for actions that were within his constitutional powers as president in a landmark decision, recognising for the first time any form of presidential immunity from prosecution.

"We conclude that under our constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of presidential power requires that a former president have some immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts during his tenure in office," the top court had said.

At another sexual and vaginal health firm, Winx Health, a startup, the sales of its morning-after pill Restart were up 315 per cent on the day after the election compared with the 24 hours before the US polls.&nbsp;

“Things skyrocketed immediately,” said Cynthia Plotch, co-founder of Winx Health.
