A ride that has long been criticized as racist and problematic is finally getting a makeover to remove what the company now admits negative depictions of certain cultures.

Walt Disney Co said on Wednesday it would lay off 32,000 workers, primarily at its theme parks, an increase from the 28,000 it announced in September, as the company struggles with limited customers due to the coronavirus pandemic. 
 
The layoffs will be in the first half of 2021, the company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. 
 
Earlier this month, Disney said it was furloughing additional workers from its theme park in Southern California due to uncertainty over when the state would allow parks to reopen. 
 
Disney`s theme parks in Florida and those outside the United States reopened earlier this year without seeing new major coronavirus outbreaks but with strict social distancing, testing and mask use. 
 
Disneyland Paris was forced to close again late last month when France imposed a new lockdown to fight a second wave of the coronavirus cases. The company`s theme parks in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo remain open. 
 
Disney did not respond to a Reuters request for comment on whether the 28,000 layoffs announced earlier were included in the latest figure, but a spokesperson for the company confirmed to Variety that the figure includes the previously announced number.

Reportedly, the 42-year-old man from Florida was caught camping on a deserted part of the resort property. Richard McGuire was arrested on trespassing charges and is banned from Disney Parks.&nbsp;

The man was found on Discovery Island that has been abandoned for decades.&nbsp;

After being spotted on the island the Orange County tried searching for the male on foot, helicopter and boat. The search operation concluded after Richard was caught and arrested.&nbsp;

According to Richard, it was a "tropical paradise" and had decided to stay there for at least a week. The deputies said that they used loudspeakers to address Richard but he said that he (Richard) said that he did not hear any of those voices as he was allegedly sleeping inside one of the buildings on Discovery Island and he was unaware that the property was off-limits.&nbsp;

A couple of weeks ago a similar case was reported when a man was arrested for trespassing in California's Disney Park Resort. He was suspected of attempting to steal from a construction site in Disney California Adventure, where the new Marvel-themed land, Avengers Campus, will be located.&nbsp;
