A five-year-old boy, who had tragically fallen in a 150-feet-deep borewell in Dausa city of the Indian state of Rajasthan, was finally brought out after a gruelling 55-hour-long operation, as per the officials.

However, soon after getting rescued, the officials rushed the boy to a nearby hospital in an unconscious state where the doctors declared him dead. “The boy has been taken out and rushed to hospital," said an official to the media, while speaking about the operation.&nbsp;

The child, who was identified as Aryan, fell into the borewell when he was playing in a field located in Kalikhad village on Monday (Dec 9).

An hour after the boy fell into the borewell, the rescue operation was initiated by the authorities.&nbsp;

With the help of drilling machines, the officials dug a parallel pit for reaching to the level where the child had fallen.

According to the NDRF personnel, who were carrying out the operation, various challenges were coming up in the operation which included the water level which they had estimated to be nearly 160 feet.&nbsp;

They said that they were even facing trouble in capturing the movements of the boy on camera because of steam underground.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Relief (SDRF) personnel were working together to rescue Aryan.&nbsp;

They were constantly supplying oxygen to the boy through a pipe. The rescue teams also were watching the movements of the boy through the camera which was inserted into the borewell.&nbsp;

The XCMG 180 piling rig machine was also used on Tuesday (Dec 10) for digging a 150-foot deep tunnel close to the borewell to rescue the child.

"The challenge is that we can go up to 150 feet and not beyond that. NDRF rescuers will go down with protective equipment to rescue the child," said NDRF commandant Yogesh Kumar when the operation was going on.

Kumar added that a huge crowd had gathered to see the rescue operation as the team&nbsp;tried to rescue the minor at the earliest.&nbsp;

When the digging proved futile, a rope was tied around the child in the borewell to pull him out.&nbsp;

Scientists have been investigating the core of the Earth, which has become home to some of the most “extreme features" of a planet hidden deep in underground.

Now new research has found that the mysterious zones, which are present in the deep mantle underneath some places where earthquake waves have slowly moved, may actually have been spread across the entire planet.

The existence of these zones in the Earth's lower mantle, which are ultra-low velocity zones&nbsp;(ULVZs), was already known to scientists. However, unlike the new idea that these zones are widespread, these zones were earlier said to be present in the regions where hot rock moves and creates volcanic island chains like Hawaii.&nbsp;

The experts have now discovered that these mysterious black hole zones can slow down seismic waves by around 50 per cent, however, scientists are unaware of what they are made of or what their exact role is in the process.

"Here's one of the most extreme features that we see anywhere inside the planet," said geophysicist Michael Thorne, of the University of Utah, while speaking to Live Science.

"And we don't know what they are, where they're coming from, what they're made of, [or] what role they play inside the Earth," he added.

According to some researchers, the ULVZs may have been the remains of the giant impacts created by meteors which relentlessly bombarded the Earth.&nbsp;

However, as per Thorne, if they are ubiquitous, then that means such zones are getting generated actively even today.

He said that there are chances of volcanic rock basalt - which gets formed at mid-ocean ridges - making these wave-sucking structures.&nbsp;

Once this basalt enters into the mantle through subduction, it melts quickly and can form pockets which have slow seismic waves.

Thorne and his team analysed the waves that&nbsp;were created by large, powerful earthquakes, called PKP waves.

Speaking to Live Science, Thorne said that his findings revealed something was slowing the earthquake waves dramatically from scattering their energy.

It was the valleys and ridges which were present along the core-mantle boundary which were slowing the earthquake waves, he said.

Thorne said that signatures of ULVZs were detected across the planet in North America, North Africa, East Asia, Papua New Guinea, the Pacific Northwest, and the western Pacific.

“We are ready to go on the negotiating track under the condition that all questions will be considered together, without being separated from Russia’s main proposals,” Putin said in a news conference alongside close ally President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, who was visiting Moscow.

The Biden administration has said it believes that Russia is poised to invade Ukraine within days. Although Moscow insists that it has no such plans, it has vowed to mount “a tough response” if the United States and its NATO partners do not roll back their presence in Eastern Europe.

In a demonstration of strength, Russia will conduct major drills this weekend that will include the launch of ballistic and cruise missiles, the country’s defense ministry said, according to the Interfax news agency.

Russia’s drills will test its strategic nuclear forces, which include the land-based launchers, bombers and warships used to deliver nuclear weapons. They will involve the Black Sea Fleet, which has been engaged in large-scale exercises in the region bordering Ukraine. Putin will preside over them from a “situation center,” the Kremlin said.

The Defense Ministry said the drills were planned in advance, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied that they were intended to raise tensions. But they will come at a critical juncture in the standoff over Ukraine.
