<p>The pH (potential of hydrogen) scale ranks an item on the scale of 0 to 14 wherein items with lesser pH value are acidic in nature and those with a higher ranking are alkaline. Items with pH value 7 are considered neutral, one such example would include water.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Søren Peder Lauritz Sørensen was born on 9th January 1868 in Havrebjerb, Denmark. He was named among '100 Distinguished European Chemists'&nbsp;by the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Science.</p>

<p>Sørensen last breathed on 12th February 1939 in Copenhagen, Denmark.</p>
