<p>The National Investigation Agency (NIA) along with the Bengaluru police's Central Crime Branch (CCB) has been heading the investigation into the case.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When the images taken from the footage were matched with those collected from a public bus in Bengaluru, where the police had spotted the suspect without a mask, the officials were able to get more clarity regarding the suspect's identity.</p>

<p>As per the report, the man was a missing person from the Islamic State's Shivamogga module known as Musavir Hussain Shazib.</p>

<p>The NIA had announced a Rs 10&nbsp;lakh reward for anyone who helped&nbsp;in the arrest of&nbsp;Shazib. He has been on the investigative agencies' radar since January 2020.&nbsp;</p>
