<h2><strong>Killer-turned-Chhole Bhature seller: What did he allegedly do?</strong></h2>

<p>In the autumn of 2004, a cereal businessman Ramesh Gupta was abducted by a group of kidnappers for ransom. Gupta was allegedly sprayed with chloroform every few hours till he stopped waking up.</p>

<p>Police nabbed all accused kidnappers, except their alleged kingpin, Sipahi Lal.</p>

<p>Recently crime branch ASI Sonu Nain nabbed the suspect near the Ramlila grounds of Mainpuri.&nbsp;</p>

<p>DCP (crime) Rakesh Pawaria told The Times of India: "Lal was wanted in connection with a sensational case of kidnapping-and-murder for ransom registered at Shalimar Bagh police station and had been evading law enforcement since 2004. They (the gang) had not only sedated the victim but ensured his death using a knife. They had repeatedly stabbed the lifeless body before packing it up in a gunny bag and disposing it off in a drain in Karala village."</p>
