Chandrapur is the minister&#39;s Lok Sabha constituency.&nbsp;

It is also one of four Maharashtra district affected by left-wing extremism.&nbsp;

Ahir was quoted in newspaper reports as saying the Naxals don&#39;t want democracy.

Similarly, he said, the absent doctors don&#39;t want democracy. So they should join the naxals instead of dispensing pills.&nbsp;

&quot;The organiser was himself absent. I have not spoken against the profession but a particular doctor. Whatever I said was the civil surgeon and no one else. I respect doctors from the bottom of my heart. I just showed my anger on absence of some doctors from the event,&quot; ANI reported Ahir as saying.
