<p>TV creator Ryan Murphy's long nightmare is over as his son Ford is now 'cancer-free'. According to the news agency, Murphy believes that Chairman of Disney Television Studios and ABC Entertainment Dana Walden played a significant part in the treatment and recovery of his son's disease.<br />

He appreciated Walden for her role in his life and career while speaking at Variety's Power of Women Luncheon in Los Angeles at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Friday.<br />

Describing his younger son's diagnosis with neuroblastoma, he said, "My baby had a tumour the size of a tennis ball at 18 months growing behind his abdominal wall and the doctor said this was bad ".</p>

<p>"The first person I called was Dana, who is the godmother to both Ford and our older son, Logan. And Dana instantly charged into action as she does. In a day, thanks to her knowledge and acumen and understanding, we were at Children's Hospital. So she organised the whole thing as I was getting sick in a bathroom," Murphy told the event attendees.<br />

The 53-year-old director-writer got emotional but continued to laud his dear friend. Giving the details of his son's suffering at a tender age he said, "I cannot express to you in this room how difficult this was on him, how difficult this was on our family ".</p>

<p>Sonali Bendre, who has been diagnosed with a rare cancer, has opened up about the ordeals that she has undergone while being treated for the disease. The actor has undergone many painful chemotherapy sessions. &nbsp;She has expressed her fears and agony in her recent Instagram post.</p>

<p>In her post, Bendre quoted Cheryl Strayed from Wild and speaks about the 'bad days'. Bendre muses that how it is important to remember the bad days post chemo sessions and it is not important to be cheerful all the time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Despite such a painful and overwhelming journey, Sonali leaves an inspirational message for all of us.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She tells us how important it is to feel all the emotions of life, and never let us betray ourselves by turning hypocrites and smile through hardships even if we don't want to.</p>

<p>Her post on Instagram renders a message to her followers to cry and feel the pain for a while but only loving and caring ourselves can heal us towards the end.</p>

I got through it knowing that even though I was fighting a long drawn out, draining battle… it was one that was worth the fight. It’s important to remember that we’re allowed to have those bad days. Forcing yourself to be happy and cheerful all the time serves no purpose. Who are we being fake and putting on an act for? I allowed myself to cry, to feel the pain, to indulge in self-pity… for a short while. Only you know what you’re going through and it is fine to accept it. Emotions aren’t wrong. Feeling negative emotions isn’t wrong. But after a point, identify it, recognize it and refuse to let it control your life. It takes an immense amount of self-care to get out of that zone. In her post, Bendre quoted Cheryl Strayed from Wild and speaks about the 'bad days'. Bendre muses that how it is important to remember the bad days post chemo sessions and it is not important to be cheerful all the time. Despite such a painful and overwhelming journey, Sonali leaves an inspirational message for all of us. She tells us how important it is to feel all the emotions of life, and never let us betray ourselves by turning hypocrites and smile through hardships even if we don't want to.
