The 30-year-old floated in a corner that was headed in from close range by Zanka to put Brentford ahead.

Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo then scored twice to give Rangers a 2-1 lead, before Eriksen's free kick was turned in by Tristan Crama to level the match.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player said earlier this month he is determined to prove he is still the same player he used to be before the incident and was not afraid to play with the implanted device.

Eriksen will be hoping to make his first Premier League appearance for Brentford when they host Newcastle on Feb. 26.

"Of course I have not forgotten how to play football and my body is still the same and my vision and my ability will still be the same," he told a news conference on Friday. "That has not changed.

"I want to show that I am still the same player as before. My ICD is here for my protection. It is in because, if anything would happen to me, there is no need for a defibrillator because I will have my own. It is really just extra security.

"And that is how I feel. I feel very protected with it. I feel normal. I don't feel it in any annoying way. Only going through the airport, I have to go around instead of going through a scanner."

Coach Thomas Frank also said on Friday that Eriksen is impressing in training, but does not believe he is quite ready to play for Brentford against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Eriksen is not just eager to return to club football.

"My aim is I want to be fit for the World Cup (in December)," Eriksen added. "It is about building up in training and getting some minutes on the pitch under my belt.

"There are a lot of months to go until the World Cup starts, and I will be doing everything I can to make sure I am there."

"I`m excited to show that you can, with an ICD, and if you have had a cardiac arrest, if you do the proper tests and everything is OK you can play again. I am happy about it."

Brentford plays at Manchester City on Wednesday in the Premier League.

Manchester United rode their luck before burying luckless Brentford with a second-half goal blitz to claim a 3-1 away victory on Wednesday and boost their challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

A United win did not look likely as Brentford dominated the first half but the visitors were clinical after the break with goals by Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford securing a flattering victory.

Brentford should have been comfortably ahead by halftime but spurned numerous chances with Mathias Jensen twice denied by the outstretched leg of United keeper David De Gea.

Several other opportunities went begging and they were made to pay for their profligacy when Elanga nodded United in front in the 55th minute and Greenwood tapped in after a counter-attack before substitute Rashford rifled in his side`s third in the 77th minute to deflate Brentford.

Brentford threatened in the opening stages in west London, but&nbsp;City&nbsp;took the lead in the 16th minute when Foden cleverly tucked in a pinpoint cross from Kevin De Bruyne.

Foden and Jack Grealish were left out of the starting XI for&nbsp;City's wins over Newcastle and Leicester after they were pictured on a night out following the 7-0 home victory over Leeds.

Guardiola, who hailed the "exceptional" Foden, refused to be complacent despite his side's huge lead at the top of the Premier League.

"There are 54 points to play for," he told the BBC. "It is not expected to have this distance for eight and nine, but Liverpool play one game less. But it is 54 points.&nbsp;

"In December no one is champion. We are going to lose games. I see in my mind Arsenal, Chelsea, Southampton coming.... I cannot say more than congratulations to the team but we must focus."

The club announced on Tuesday that left wing-back Ben Chilwell faced surgery on a knee injury and defender Thiago Silva missed the Brighton game due to a thigh complaint.
