London Metropolitan Police has found a body in Thames River which the officials 'strongly believe' is that of Abdul Ezedi, the alleged chemical attacker who targeted a woman and her daughters on January 31 in Clapham, south London. The man was missing since the attack and the police previously said that he had "gone into" the river after the attack. Ezedi was seen in CCTV footage as he walked to Chelsea Bridge leaning over the railings of the bridge. He went out of the focus of the camera after that. Police said that there was no footage of him coming off the bridge.

The body of the yet unidentified man was found by the police on Monday (Feb 19). It is now being examined by the coroner.

"...We strongly believe this man to be Abdul Ezedi...," says Jon Savell, police commander, in a video posted from official London Met Police handle on X.

Savell said that the police have contacted Ezedi's family and were now working to officially ascertain identity of the body.

As police carried out search for Ezedi since the attack, the Scotland Yard had appealed to people to come forward with any information they may have on the man. They even made an appeal to Ezedi to surrender.

Ezedi himself was injured in the chemical attack. It is believed that he drove from his Newcastle home to London carrying chemicals he would use in the attack just a few hours later.

The 31-year-old woman is still in hospital and under treatment for what have been described as 'life-changing' injuries. It is feared that she will lose sight in one of her eyes. Her children, aged three and eight, are injured too but reportedly not injured as severely as their mother. Both girls have received medical treatment.

A Chinese recently posted on social media that he found a dead body under the bed in his room at a hotel in Tibet's Lhasa, according to local media reports on Tuesday (May 2). The incident happened at the Guzang Shuhua Inn. The man, who was only identified as Zhang, said that he arrived in Lhasa on April 20 with his friends for a visit. They checked into a room on the third floor of the hotel the following afternoon, according to a report by the Shanghai Daily.&nbsp;

Zhang said that he noticed an unusual smell in the room. On the evening of April 21, Zhang left the hotel to go out for dinner and came back at around 10:30 pm.

The next day, the police arrived (at the hotel) and Zhang was taken to the police station to record a statement, the Shanghai Daily reported on Tuesday. Giving details of what transpired at the police station, Zhang said the police officials told him that a murder took place in his previous room and a dead body was found under the bed. The police also told him not to worry as they have already arrested a person.&nbsp;

Zhang's DNA samples were collected and he was allowed to go. The man went on to share additional details, including the transfer record of the room fee and his chat history with the hotel's staff.&nbsp;

Zhang's posts on social media detailing the experience have led to tens of thousands of reactions. The Guzang Shuhua Inn has denied the incident altogether.&nbsp;

The victim was identified as Wang. The suspect, Gao, was arrested on a train to Lanzhou city in a joint operation carried out by the Lanzhou police and the Xi'an police. The report also said that Wang's ID card, mobile phone and bank cards were found on the suspect.&nbsp;

Tibet: Guest finds corpse under hotel bed in Lhasa, probe launched, says report

A missing US Navy sailor who was last seen leaving a pub the day after St Patrick's Day has been found dead in a harbour close to Lake Michigan.&nbsp;Officials announced that 21-year-old Seamus Gray, who disappeared last month and caused his mother Kerry to suffer for weeks, had been discovered near a lake in Waukegan, Illinois.

Rescue workers and Navy troops scoured the city in a desperate search while Kerry posted social media updates about her anguish.

Utility workers waved down police officers on Wednesday at around 7 p.m. when they were conducting a traffic stop close to the Waukegan Harbour, according to the police, reported the Daily Mail.

The ComEd workers reported what they thought to be a body in the water as they were performing normal maintenance close to the harbour.

The body was pulled onto the shore with assistance from the Waukegan Fire Department, and police chief Edgardo Navarro said it matched Gray's physical description.

According to WGN9, the body's clothing matched his description as well. It&nbsp;was later identified as being that of Gray by the Lake County coroner.&nbsp;

In an effort to find her son, Gray's mother also made the trip to Waukegan from Florida.

On Waukegan's Genesee Street, detectives discovered security tape showing Grey leaving the Ibiza Bar.

He is seen exiting the bar alone in the footage while wearing a pink suit.&nbsp;

On March 18, about 1:40 am, he was last seen and last heard from at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Washington Street; he had not been seen or heard from since leaving the pub.

Soon after her son disappeared Kerry wrote&nbsp;a post on social media.

'This boy is my heart, my world, my love of my life along with his little brother Deck.'

She added: 'As I type this I'm trying not to throw up. I cannot sleep, and will not sleep until I have answers as to where my son is, and what happened to him.'

In one social media post, Kerry wrote that she and a friend were taking part in the investigation and were searching dumpsters for her son's body.

'Tomorrow I have to do what no mother should ever have to do. I have to go on a foot search with the Police Department, Fire Department and many others who will join in to find my son Séamus Grays body,' she wrote on March 23.

The five-year-old girl had disappeared in the Madaba region south of the capital Amman when the car she was in was swept away by flooding, the civil defence said.

The discovery of her body on Monday raised the overall death toll since Friday to 13, including a diver for the emergency services, civil defence head Mustafa al-Bazaiha told state television.

Twenty-nine people have been injured, including four members of the civil defence and four from the security forces, he said.

Search operations that had been under way since Friday were now over, he added.

Bad weather has battered the region in recent days.
