Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has strongly backed Rahul Gandhi's role as the Leader of the Opposition, saying he is doing what people across the country expect from him.

Speaking about Rahul Gandhi's role, Omar Abdullah said the Leader of the Opposition's responsibility is to hold the government accountable and make it answerable, adding that Rahul Gandhi is doing exactly that.

Abdullah also said he wants Rahul Gandhi to continue his work in holding the government accountable.
