Following this, the man said to be Shehbaz says, “The son-in-law is very dear to Maryam Nawaz. Tell her very logically about this and then I will talk to her.”

The same voice then proceeds to acknowledge with the perception that this would be bad for optics and may cause a lot of political trouble.

Notably, Maryam Nawaz’s daughter Mehrunnisa married industrialist Chaudhry Munir’s son Raheel in December 2015.

The other voice in the audio clip then talks about another matter related to the housing society belonging to Mariyam Nawaz’s son-in-law.

At the end of the leaked audio, the conversion between the two then steers toward former Justice Maqbool Baqir, who was being considered as the next head of the National Accountability Bureau.

The government official is heard conveying to the prime minister the ‘suggestion’ of two media persons, asking him not to consider the former judge for the slot of NAB chairman, in view of their experience with former NAB chief Javed Iqbal, who was also a retired judge appointed by the PML-N government.

Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy Saturday said he would retire from politics if it was proven that the audio clip released by him about BJP state unit president BS Yeddyurappa's alleged toppling game was <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/karnataka-yeddyurappa-dismisses-audio-clips-released-on-him-by-cm-as-fake-196051">mimicry and concocted</a>.

Sticking to his charge that Yeddyurappa had tried to lure a JDS MLA with bribe and other offers, Kumaraswamy hit back at the state BJP strongman, who had said that the audio clip was 'fake' and a 'concocted story.'

Facing turmoil in the ruling coalition that has cast a shadow over the stability of his government, Kumaraswamy had Friday released the audio clip in which Yeddyurappa is purportedly trying to lure JDS MLA Naganagouda through his son.

"I am stating from this place... If it is proved that it was not Yeddyurappa who had spoken and that it is mimicry or parody by Kumaraswamy, then it is not about his retiring, I will retire," the chief minister said at Dharmastala, a holy place in Dakshina Kannada district.

Kumaraswamy also said that those who "played games" with the presiding deity of Dharmastala, Lord Manjunatha, would incur his wrath.

"Invoking the name of Lord Manjunatha Swamy, he could not get protection... He (Yeddyurappa) had to resign within one month (as chief minister)," the Chief Minister said. 
Kumaraswamy was apparently referring to a "truth test" face-off between him and Yeddyurappa in 2011 when the latter was the chief minister.

Yeddyurappa had challenged Kumaraswamy to prove the allegations of corruption and nepotism against him by taking the truth test before Lord Manjunatha and that he would also do the same.

He later retracted and just offered prayers.

Kumaraswamy, who visited the shrine later, pledged before the deity that he stood by the charges made by him against the Chief Minister in the last six to seven months.

According to the tradition followed at the temple, aggrieved parties stand before the deity and take a pledge on the issues they have been contesting, after payment of Rs 11 as fee.

As per the custom, the temple authorities only facilitate the exercise but do not interfere.

The political war over charges of horse-trading had escalated Friday with Kumaraswamy releasing the audio clip hours before presenting the Congress-JDS coalition government's budget for 2019-2020 in the assembly.

Yeddyurappa, who is at the vortex of the row over his alleged bid to poach the ruling coalition MLAs for the past few weeks, had dismissed the clip as "fake" and a "concocted story".

"I'm feeling breathless like a crazy fan sitting in the front seat of a theatre and whistling," according to the audio tapes, which were recorded 68 days before her death.

In addition to this, she could be heard asking doctor on duty about her blood pressure.

She asked, "What is my blood pressure?" To which the doctor replied, "140/80. It is quite high."

Jayalalithaa replied to the doctor that, "its okay for me... normal."

The Justice A. Arumugasamy Commission has put out in public-domain a diet and medical chart of the former Tamil Nadu CM as submitted to it by her personal physician Dr KS Sivakumar.

The chart has in-depth information of her diet, blood pressure and sugar levels as jotted down on August 2, 2016, which is before her hospitalization.

The health chart suggests Jayalalithaa had subsisted on Idli, breads, coffee, green tea and biscuits.

On January 12, the hospital, where the late AIADMK supremo was being treated during her illness two years ago, submitted treatment documents of the same to an inquiry commission, which was set up to probe her death.

Following her death, allegations of foul play began to do the rounds and Tamil Nadu forest minister Dindigul Sreenivasan even claimed that all cabinet ministers had lied to the people about hospitalisation and death of the former chief minister Jayalalithaa.

Jayalalithaa was admitted at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai for a long time before she breathed her last on December 5, 2016.

Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital on September 22, 2016. She suffered a cardiac arrest on December 4 and was declared dead the following day.

Jayalalithaa's audio clip, diet chart released by probe panel

A purported audio clip of Asaram, serving his life-in-prison term at a Jodhpur jail, has surfaced online in which the self-styled godman is heard telling a person over phone that his time behind bars is ephemeral and "good days will come".

According to Jodhpur Central Jail DIG Vikram Singh, the 15-minute audio clip might have been recorded during a telephone conversation Asaram had on Friday, two days after a Jodhpur court found him guilty and sentenced him to life in prison for raping a teenage girl in his ashram five years ago.

The call was made with permission from jail authorities.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;

"Inmates are permitted to make a call over any two given numbers for 80 minutes in a month. He had spoken to a 'sadhak' at Sabarmati Ashram on Friday at 6.30 pm. Maybe this communication was recorded (then) and made viral," said Singh.

In a one-way communication which appeared like a telephonic sermon, Asaram first extended his gratitude to his followers for maintaining calm and not coming to Jodhpur on the day of judgment.

"We should respect the law and order and the system. I also do so," he is purportedly heard saying in the audio clip.

He claims a few people are on a campaign to defame his ashram and want to take its control. "Do not get carried away by such provocations or anything circulated on the letterhead of ashram...," he says in the clip.

Referring to co-accused Shilpi and Sharat Chanda, who were handed down 20-year jail terms by the special court, Asaram says he would first arrange for their release from jail "as it is the duty of parents to first think about their children".

"(Even if) more advocates will be required for the release of Shilpi and Sharat, that will be done. Afterwards, bapu will make way out of the jail," he says.

"If a mistake has happened in the lower court, there are upper courts for rectifying those mistakes," he says.

"Truth has no cover and lie has no legs (to stand upon)... It is immaterial, what the allegations are," he says, adding, "good days will come".

At the end of the conversation, he makes Sharat to speak, who says there's nothing to be worried about in the jail.&nbsp;
