<p>According to the authorities, the driver of the school van who was among the injured, appears to be the target of the attack.</p>

<p>"Our initial investigations indicate that the driver had an enmity with someone," Mohammad Shakil, a local police official, was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.</p>

<p>Police were still investigating to determine who was behind the firing.</p>

<p>At the time of filing this report, no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The dead and wounded were transported to a nearby hospital, Ghias Gull, a district police chief in Attock, where the shooting occurred was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.</p>

<p>Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi denounced the attack and called for&nbsp;the best possible medical treatment to be provided to the wounded.</p>
