Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that there&nbsp;is no rule of law in Pakistan&nbsp;and that it is being run by only one man — the Army chief. The former prime minister also said that&nbsp;he is worried that his opponents will have him arrested once again. He was sharing&nbsp;his misgivings after the Islamabad High Court granted him bail.

Talking to the press, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chief said, "There&nbsp;is no rule of law in Pakistan," and that "it is run by only one man and that’s the Army chief."

Khan also assured that if he gets re-elected as the Pakistan PM, he will "not denotify" the army chief.

"Army chief is insecure as I removed him as ISPR chief. I will not denotify him when I come to power," Khan said.

The PTI chief claimed that he was worried that "they will pick me&nbsp;up&nbsp;again."

"They will arrest me again because they will just come up with another case," he said.

On Friday, the Islamabad High Court granted the PTI chairman bail for two weeks in the Al-Qadir Trust case and all others.

Thanking the court for its decision, he said that the nation's judicial system is the "only thing which is stopping Pakistan from becoming a complete banana Republic where the law of the jungle prevails."

"The only hope we have is the judiciary, which again protected me," he said, adding that he's still not sure that when he steps out of the High Court "they" won't arrest him yet again.

Denouncing Pakistan's violence over the last four days, Khan said that he condemns the violence. "This is my country, my&nbsp;army,&nbsp;my&nbsp;people," he added.

However, he warned that if he is arrested again, the country can expect the same reaction from his followers and that he wants to avoid such a situation.

In a major relief for Khan, Pakistan's Supreme Court on Thursday declared his arrest from the Islamabad High Court premises on Tuesday unlawful.&nbsp;

His arrest, which involved manhandling at the hands of paramilitary troops, was declared "invalid" and his immediate release was ordered after Khan was produced before a bench on SC's orders. The Pakistan Supreme Court also demanded that the process be 'backtracked'.

"We should leave the discussion of 'Naya' (new) and 'Purana' (old) Pakistan and talk about "our Pakistan,” General Munir said which was met with applause from the lawmakers, the Express Tribune reported on Friday.&nbsp;

Munir said that the elected representatives of the people should determine Pakistan's destiny and the army would fully support them in the journey towards the development and success of the country.&nbsp;

The army chief also conceded that talking to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was a mistake. He asserted that terrorists have no other option but to accept the state`s writ. He expressed disappointment at the outcome of negotiations with terrorists, as it resulted in further groupings of such elements.&nbsp;

General Munir further said that security forces were ready to maintain peace in Pakistan and that intelligence-based operations were being conducted daily in this regard.

Why change in ISPR ranks?

This is because the ISPR Director General's position is for an officer of major general or two-star rank. Lt Gen Iftikhar, however, became a three-star general last month.&nbsp;

It is now reported that Lt Gen Iftikhar will&nbsp;head to the militarily significant fifth Corps based out of Karachi,&nbsp;replacing Lt Gen Muhammed Saeed as V Corps commander.&nbsp;

The Chief of General Staff is the second most powerful person in the Pakistani Army. According to sources, Lt Gen Muhammad Saeed, who currently commands Karachi-headquartered fifth Corps, is poised to become the new Chief of General Staff.

Bahawalpur-headquartered 31 Corps doesn't have a Commanding Officer after Lt Gen Faiz Hameed prematurely demitted office following Asim Munir's appointment as new Chief of Army Staff. According to sources, 31 Corps will now be commanded by Lt Gen Saqib Mehmood Malik, who is currently the Chief of Logistics Staff in Pakistan's army.&nbsp;

Faiz was also one of the names among six shortlisted individuals sent to the Prime Minister's Office by Rawalpindi, and thus was in running for coveted designation of army chief. After Asim Munir's appointment as Chief of Army Staff, he prematurely demitted office.&nbsp;

Similarly, Lt Gen Azhar Abbas also took the path of premature retirement after his name&nbsp; wasn't finalised from the top 6 in contention for army chief's post. He was the second most powerful man in the army as Chief of General Staff (CGS).

It was during this period that tensions between India and Pakistan escalated to the point that everyone was fearing an impending conflict between the two nuclear-armed nations.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's&nbsp;official account quoted its chief Imran Khan as saying,&nbsp;“After the summary comes, I and the president of Pakistan will act according to the Constitution and laws.”

Khan claimed that&nbsp;President Arif Alvi will&nbsp;consult him on the summary.

“I am the head of my political party and the president will definitely consult me,” he was quoted as saying by ARY news channel.

Lt Gen Munir was a commander in the Force Command Northern Areas (FCNA) at the time when Bajwa was commander of the X Corps. The FCNA falls under the command of the X Corps.
