<p>Andy Samberg, better known as Jake Peralta from the hit TV show <em>Brooklyn Nine-Nine</em>, has opened up about his exit from Saturday Night Live 12 years ago. Samberg said on Kevin Hart‘s Peacock interview series “Hart to Heart” that the show took a massive toll on his physical health and that he doesn't think he got much sleep during those seven years.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Physically, it was taking a heavy toll on me and I got to a place where I was like I hadn’t slept in seven years basically,” Samberg said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Detailing the gruelling process to bring the show alive on TV, Samberg said, “We were writing stuff for the live show Tuesday night all night, the table read Wednesday, then being told now come up with a digital short so write all Thursday, all Thursday night, don’t sleep, get up, shoot Friday, edit all night Friday night and into Saturday."</p>

<p>"So it’s basically like four days a week you’re not sleeping, for seven years. So I just kinda fell apart physically.”</p>

<p>He told Hart that he was also "falling apart in his life, and by 2012 couldn’t “endure it anymore.”</p>

<p>'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'&nbsp;fans had a heartbreaking Thursday as the makers announced that the eighth season&nbsp;of the much-loved cop-comedy show will be its last season.</p>

NBC revealed that the police comedy will be coming to an end during the 2021-2022 season. Originally airing on Fox, the show ran for five seasons before being cancelled and picked up for a sixth season by NBC in 2019. The show was then renewed for an eighth season prior to the seventh season premiere in spring 2020.</p>

<p>Reportedly, the final season will be a short one, consisting of only 10 episodes. Production for season eight was hit by the pandemic but star Andy Samberg told Deadline he hopes to be back on set "fairly soon." In a statement, the creator of the show Dan Goor&nbsp;wrote, "I’m so thankful to NBC and Universal Television for allowing us to give these characters and our fans the ending they deserve… Ending the show was a difficult decision, but ultimately, we felt it was the best way to honor the characters, the story and our viewers. <p>In response to Goor’s statement, Dirk Blocker who plays Hitchcock&nbsp;wrote, “I love this man, I love this group, and I love that I got to be a part of this.” In a later tweet celebrating some of Hitchcock and Scully’s best moments, the actor added, “What a joy this run has been. Best partner, best ensemble, best writers, best crew members, best fans!”</p>

<p>Melissa Fumero, who has played Amy Santiago since the show’s debut, wrote that portraying her character “has been one of the greatest joys and honor of my life… I am so grateful to be able to take a victory lap with our beloved cast and crew. To our amazing fans, we love you. No tears for now, we still have a whole season to shoot!”</p>

<p>And Terry Crews, aka Lt. Terry Jeffords, also shared his gratitude for the show’s run in a tweet: “I’m sad it will end, but happy to have had the chance to be a part of something so special.”</p>

<p>The Golden Globes, chosen by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, are the first major ceremony in Hollywood's awards season culminating with the Oscars on Feb. 24.</p>

<p>Oh is best known for her former role in the long-running television hospital drama 'Grey's Anatomy,'&nbsp;and is now starring in BBC America's acclaimed murder-mystery 'Killing Eve.'</p>
