Ambala SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat confirmed that four people have lost their lives in the incident, adding that 13 people have been rescued from the debris.“Our immediate priority right now is the rescue work. If any negligence is found in this matter, legal action will be taken,” he said.Ambala City SDM Darshan Kumar earlier said, “All teams—including the NDRF, SDRF, local ambulance services, and the fire brigade—are deployed at the site. So far, several people have been hospitalised; four have already been discharged, and five are currently undergoing treatment.”“Two bodies have been recovered,” he added.The SDM said that 12 victims have been identified so far, including two of those who lost their lives in the incident.&nbsp;The circumstances leading to the collapse of the structure remain unclear. Kumar said that details of ownership of the building were being ascertained. He added that the building owner and contractor had left the site.Officials said that appropriate legal action would be taken against those responsible for the collapse of the building. Rescue and relief operations are ongoing.
