A Pakistan court on Monday postponed for the third time the announcement of the verdict in the 190 million pounds Al-Qadir Trust corruption case against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.

Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan and the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) reacted sharply to the campaign on 'minus Imran' as he spoke with WION on Monday. Khan also weighed in on a range of issues.&nbsp;

On being asked by WION's bureau chief about the 'minus Imran formula' and upcoming elections, he said that there is "no such thing as minus Imran, unless voters choose to do so".&nbsp;

Khan said, "In a democracy, the only minus that can be done is by the public, by the voters. There is no concept of minus unless the voters decide to minus you."&nbsp;

In a tweet, Khan appealed to every citizen, especially the youth who will exercise their right to vote for the first time, &nbsp;to confirm their vote and vote slip before July 13.&nbsp;

While talking about the election, he said, "It means that democracy will be wound up, that's what it means. In fact, there is hardly any democracy left in Pakistan. It is just that the judges are holding the fort, otherwise, even the judiciary has been subdued."&nbsp;

The former prime minister also mentioned&nbsp;defence minister Khwaja Asaf's comments on Pakistani ex-pats. He said, "Overseas Pakistanis are Pakistan's biggest assets. We haven't been able to catch that asset because we haven't had a rule of law in Pakistan. If there was a rule of law, the overseas Pakistanis will bring in billions of dollars of investment."&nbsp;

"When China and India opened up, the investment came from overseas China and overseas Indians first of all, then others came. So this is the biggest asset... and unfortunately, we were 149th and 150th country in the rule of law index," he added.&nbsp;

Imran Khan reacts sharply to 'minus-Imran formula', says only voters can decide

Former Pakistan prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)&nbsp;chairperson Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi's pre-arrest bail in the Al-Qadir Trust case has been approved until July 4. The bail was&nbsp;approved by the accountability court on Monday (June 19). Earlier, Khan's bail in the case was extended till Monday against surety bonds of Rs 500,000 (Pakistan Rupee) ($1742).

The bail also comes days after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned Bushra Bibi in the case. Initially, Bibi was summoned by the NAB's Combined Investigation Team (CIT) as a witness, being a trustee of the Al-Qadir University Trust, on June 7. However, she sought a day's extension with her husband. The CIT then directed her to appear before the investigators on June 13.&nbsp;

<h2>What is the Al-Qadir Trust case?</h2>

The case alleges that Khan and Bibi obtained land worth billions of rupees for their trust from a major property tycoon in Pakistan to build an educational institute. According to a report by Al-Jazeera last month, the NAB alleged that the previous PTI government under Khan's leadership struck a deal with property tycoon Malik Riaz that caused a loss of over $239 million to the national exchequer.&nbsp;

In 2019,&nbsp;Riaz agreed to hand over assets, including properties worth $239 million, to United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency in a probe&nbsp;related to “dirty money".

In May this year, Imran Khan was arrested in the case but was later granted bail. The NAB had said that the former prime minister was arrested for the crime of corruption in the trust.&nbsp;

Pakistan's Interior Minister&nbsp;Rana Sanaullah Khan, meanwhile, tweeted that Khan did not appear in the case despite notices.&nbsp;

Imran Khan is currently facing over 150 cases registered against him since being ousted&nbsp;in April last year. He was granted bail till Monday in eight cases registered against him. Out of these eight cases, Khan's bail was confirmed in five and the former prime minister got pre-arrest bail in three cases, including the Al-Qadir Trust case.&nbsp;

On Sunday, Khan said the ruling government still planned to detain him to quash his momentum ahead of the elections which are due by October.&nbsp;"They believe that people will sit as silent spectators when they put me in jail," he said.&nbsp;
