A plea seeking linking of a metro card and/or token with the commuter's address proof was declined by Delhi High Court. The plea has been dismissed by High Court stating that no representation about the issue had been made to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) before moving the court.

MEA is considering a proposal to keep blank the last page of the passport, which currently contains many details of the holder including the address.

Soon passports will cease to be valid address proof
