Playing against Bangladesh in his country’s fifth ODI World Cup match, De Kock yet again wreaked havoc as he helped South Africa dismantle the opposition bowling attack. He followed his tons against Sri Lanka and Australia with another big knock. His score of 174 is the highest individual score in this ODI World Cup, surpassing David Warner’s 163 against Pakistan. The ton was also his 20th for the national side with only AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, and Herschelle Gibbs scoring more. He will have the opportunity to go level with the Gibbs next time.
