Russia, while accusing the West of supporting Ukraine's attack on Moscow, said that the Ukrainian artillery hit a Russian town for a third time this week and Ukrainian drones struck two oil refineries.

As per statements by Moscow's Mayor, Ukrainian drones which struck posh districts of Moscow on Tuesday, May 30 ended up injuring two people. 

Drones attacked two oil refineries 40-50 miles (65-80 km) east of Russia's biggest oil export terminals on Wednesday, May 31.

The Russian ambassador to the US accused it of encouraging Ukraine to attack. The US reiterated that it does not know who carried out the Moscow drone strikes. It further stated that it does not support attacks inside Russia. 

The White House on Wednesday, May 31 announced an aid package for Ukraine with $300 million worth of air defence systems and ammunition.

Russia-installed officials inside Ukraine said that five people were killed in the shelling of a Russia-occupied village by the Ukrainian forces. This is the same region where Russia has fought for months in order to seize more territory.

The drone attack on Moscow on Tuesday, May 30, was the second time Moscow had come under direct fire. Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the drone attack damaged apartment buildings, four homes, power grids and a school. Two of the four wounded people were also hospitalised. 
Meanwhile, the war has killed thousands of civilians in Ukraine and destroyed cities.

On Wednesday, May 30, Ukrainian military officials stated that Russia was replacing Russia was replacing Wagner private army troops with paratroops and motorised rifle units. 

As per statements from the Russian defence ministry, Russia pushed back Ukrainian forces around two settlements in Donetsk province, which is a part of a 1,000 km front line.
