Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections results 2024 Full Winners List: The Samajwadi Party (SP)shocked the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh after it won 37seats out of the total 80. This comes as a major disappointment for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which won 33 seats. The Congress,meanwhile, won six seats.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emerged victorious in the Varanasi seat, winning a total of612,970votes. Prime Minister Modi defeated Congress' Ajay Rai by a margin of152,513 votes. In Rae Bareli, Congress leader Rahul Gandhidefeated BJP's Dinesh Pratap Singh by a massive margin of 390,030 votes.
The Indian state of Uttar Pradesh voted in all seven phases of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. With 80 constituencies in total, Uttar Pradeshundoubtedly becomes one of the most significant states during the elections.Uttar Pradesh has given India eight prime ministers, the highest in the country.
The most prominent candidates who contested polls from the state were Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Varanasi), Congress leader Rahul Gandhi (Rae Bareli), Union Ministers Smriti Irani (Amethi) and Rajnath Singh (Lucknow) and Akhilesh Yadav (Kannauj).
On Saturday (June 1), exit polls predicted that the BJP would again emerge victorious in the state.
