DMK Working President MK Stalin haslaunched a "Cauvery Retrieval Walk" protesting against the Centrefor their demand ofimmediate constitution of Cauvery Management Board.
The walk has begunfrom Trichy's Mukkombu.

The Tamil Nadu government has filed a petition before the apex court seeking contempt proceedings against the Centre for not constituting Cauvery Management Board within the specified time.
The deadline for the central government to set up the Cauvery Management Board was March 29, six weeks from the top court's February 16 order.
Tamil Nadu's demand for the set up of theboard came after the apex courtreduced the Tamil Nadu's share of Cauvery water from 177.25 thousand million cubic feet (TMC), less than the 192 TMC allocated by a tribunal in 2007.
