Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore flagged off the Delhi Half Marathon in the Capitalon Sunday morning.
The Delhi High Court on Thursday gave the go-ahead for half-marathon as planned after the organisers assured the court that they have put in place a refund policy for those who want to opt out.
The organisers also assured the court that they were prepared to deal with any medical emergencies.
The Delhi High Court had earlier issued a notice to the Delhi government,the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), organisers of the half marathon event and the Delhi Police on a letter by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) requesting to postpone the event due to pollution.
