Qazigund encounter: Third terrorist killed, police say group that attacked Amarnath Yatra 'wiped out'

Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid said a fourth terrorist was captured alive.

He also claimed that the killings and capture meant the group that had attacked the Amarnath Yatra earlier this year had been "wiped out".

Two terrorists had been killed in the encounter Monday, which started after they attacked an army convoy heading to Srinagar.

One armyman was killed in the gunbattle, and another injured.

ANI reported that 3G and 2G data services were suspended in Anantnag district after the killing of the three terrorists.

The train service from Qazigund to Baramulla was also suspended.
