
The Tibetan cuisineMomos,can easily be termed asone of the favourite street foods of Indians, at least in the northern part of the country. Thewarm dough-covered snack stuffed with chicken or veggies as perchoice is enjoyed with spicyred sauce (chutney) that can be had again on asking.
However, a 32-year-old man, Sandeep, met with an unfortunate fate inDelhi's Shahdara area on Wednesday (January 10) when he demanded for extra sauce to the momos street vendor inDelhi's Shahdara area.The momo cart owner, Vikas (23) allegedly stabbed the customer in the face for making the demand

Sandeep, a resident of NSA Colony in the same locality, asked for extra red sauce to the vendor while having the momos.This infuriated Vikas, who stabbed the customer multiple times in his face, as he hadlimited stock of the chutney, according to media reports.
Hearing his screams, passersbycame to Sandeep's rescue and one of them called the police. Sandeep, who was bleeding profusely, was taken to hospital and reportedly received 10 stitches. Sandeep is an employee in a private firm.
The street vendor Vikas, who reportedly stays in Farsh Bazar was arrested by the police and theobject he used to stab Sandeep was recovered.

The Times of India citing unnamed police officers saidthat Vikas hadasked for extra sauce twice while hepurchased just one plate of momos. While, Vikas alleged that Sandeep hurled abuses at him and even shoved him. The testimonies are being verified by the police. There are also checking if any CCTC footage of the incident is available.
A case of attempted murder has been registered against Vikas.
