Ludhiana: 45-year-old runs over a child, mob beats him to death

A 45-year-old man was beaten to death by a mob at Ludhiana's Tibba road after the car he was driving ran over a child.

As reported by Daily Post, the man identified as Sanjeet was driving an Indica car when it hit the child. He wasreportedly rash driving when the child came under his wheels and died on the spot.

The driver, Sanjeet also suffered some injurieswith 4 others on the road.

Soon after the mishap, a mob gathered and started beating the driver.Sanjeet lost his consciousness, when someone knownto the accused, pulled him out of the crowd and rushed him to nearby DMC hospital. Driver succumbed to the injuries and died on his way to the hospital.

The deceased child has been identified as 8-years-old Armaan Rasool.
