G Kishan Reddy, who is the Union Minister and BJP candidate from Secunderabad Parliamentary constituency, said, "We will win double-digit seats in Telangana. We are expressing the same confidence after the polling. Not only in Urban areas but in Rural areas as well we are getting votes in the name of PM Modi."

"Those who voted for Congress & BRS during the last Vidhan Sabha elections are now voting for BJP," he added.

HD Revanna, former Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) MLA was granted bail on Monday. He will likely be released on Tuesday. 

He was arrested in connection with an alleged abduction case on May 4 by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). 

The team was investigating alleged multiple instances of sex abuse by his son and "absconding" Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna.

BJP leader Shazia Ilmi spoke on Madhavi Latha controversy. She said, "Madhavi Latha is a woman and candidate. She has requested a woman wearing burqa to reveal her identity, as a candidate she has this right."

"It has happened in the past where bogus voting has been done covering the face... There is no intention to humiliate anyone. Owaisi is in fear as she is giving him a tough fight," she added.

Madhavi Latha, the BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Hyderabad, protested in front of the polling booth, demanding that the gate be opened. She said that some people within the polling booth at Jamal Colony, Riyasat Nagar, Santosh Nagar Police Station limits, rigged the election.

Over 62% of voters turned out in the fourth round of the Lok Sabha elections, which ended at 5:00 PM on Monday in 96 seats spanning ten states and union territories. West Bengal had the highest voter participation with 75.66 percent, followed by Madhya Pradesh with 68.01 percent.

The development work is being shown only through drone shows which is totally different from the ground reality...The people have been misled in the past 10 years... Addressing a public rally in Hajipur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "The priority of RJD, Congress are not you people, but their own vote bank. The person who brought 'Jungle Raj' to Bihar, who has been convicted by the court in the fodder scam said that reservation should be given to Muslims and that too complete reservation. They want to give reservation of Dalits, backwards, tribals to Muslims."

"When these RJD and Congress people were running the government at the Centre, they had seized only Rs 35 lakh in the 10 years. Modi searched the houses of thieves who had looted the money of the poor. In the last 10 years, Modi has seized Rs 2200 crore. If that money has to be transported, 70 small trucks will be required," he added.

YSR Congress Party's Tenali MLA A Sivakumar, in a brazen act, slapped a voter after the latter called out the legislator for jumping the queue at a polling booth located in Guntur district. 

In the 10-second video, the MLA is seen launching an attack on the voter as all the security personnel are seen not intervening to rescue him. The video has gone viral.

In Bihar, a polling booth worker has died in Munger Lok Sabha constituency. 

The poll worker has been identified as a teacher named Omkar Chaudhary, who was assigned duty at polling station number 210 in Chak Ibrahim village. 

Reportedly, soon after reaching the booth, he suddenly fell and was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. A resident of Jagatpura of Tetiya Bamber in Munger, he was reportedly suffering from heart disease.

Prima facie, his death, is said to be due to a heart attack.

Bihar is voting in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections and today voting is underway in five parliamentary constituencies.

- Prime Minister Narendramdi will address public meetings in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. He will first visit a Gurudwara in Patna at 8:45 am, after which he will address three public meetings in Bihar — Hajipur at 10:30 am, Muzzafarpur at 12 pm and Saran at 1:30 pm.

From Bihar, the Prime Minister will visit Uttar Pradesh and garland the statue of Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya at 4:50 pm in Varanasi. Later he will also hold a roadshow and visit the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir at 5 pm.

- Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address two public meetings in Maharashtra, — one in Dhule at 1 pm and another in Palghar at 4 pm.

- Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge will visit Jharkhand where he will address two public meetings — one at Barahi in Hazaribagh at 10 am to campaign for party candidate J.P. Patel and another at Kundari Maidan in Latehar at 12 pm to campaign for party candidate K.N. Tripathi from the Chatra parliamentary constituency.

- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address four public meetings in Raebareli -- Maharajganj at 11:30 am, Harchandpur at 1 pm, Lalganj at 2:30 pm and Unchahar at 4:45 pm

- Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, will address "Service Commitment Rallies" in the Raebareli parliamentary constituency — one in Hanumangarhi at 11 am and in Gurubakshganj at 12 pm

- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath will address a public meeting at the Hindu Inter College in Atarra, located in the Banda-Chitrakoot parliamentary constituency.

- BJP MP from Patiala, Preneet Kaur, will be filling her nomination papers at 10:30 am. After her nomination, she will be conducting a roadshow which will start from Sheran Wala Gate at 11:30 am.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the Congress candidate from West Bengal's Berhampore, said on Monday that his party would emerge victorious.

"We are going to win and there is no doubt about that. I am extremely confident. Some isolated incidents have taken place at about 4-5 places. Indian actors Jr NTR and Allu Arjun were seen voting at a polling booth in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills.

"Please cast your vote. It is the responsibility of all the citizens of the country. Today is the most crucial day for the next 5 years. There will be a huge voter turnout, as more and more people are coming out to vote...I would like to tell, I am not politically aligned with any party. I am neutral to all parties...," Allu Arjun told reporters.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR said, "Everybody has to use the right of their vote. I think it is a good message which we need to pass on to the coming generations."

Much to the relief of voters, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday said no heatwave was predicted for the Monday phase. 

The weather forecast says constituencies going for polls are likely to experience normal to below-normal temperatures (±2 degrees).

Earlier, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said regions like Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are expected to witness widespread rainfall activity on Sunday. The fresh spell of rainfall this week will keep scorching heat at bay for at least two days till May 14.

Heavy rains are also expected in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
