India is all set to start the trials ayurvedic cure for coronavirus. Experts of AYUSH have been working on four traditional medicine formulations.
The announcement was made by Shripad Y Naik, the Union Minister of State for AYUSH, through Twitter.
In this research, the experts are trying a mix of treatment for the novel coronavirus till a vaccine is developed and distributed. So, these formulations will be add-on therapy.
Till now, no vaccine has been developed, andtreatment has proved out to be hundred per cent successful. Plasma therapy has proved out to be useful, till certain extent.
Gilead's remdesivir, an antiviral drug, has also received authorisation by theUS Food and Drug Administration to treat COVID-19 patients. However, the company, which is infamous for overpricing, is being closely monitored for pricing and distribution.
