There seems to be no end to Kapil Sharma's troubles. The actor-comedian, who ruled the small screen till a few years back has been going through a rough phase off late- both professionally as well as personally. The actor has been in the news for all wrong reason this past week and now media reports suggest that actor's new show Family Time with Kapil Sharma has been suspended for a month.
The show had premiered only a month back and had aired few episodes when the channel, Sony Television, was compelled to shelve it. The comedian has been cancelling shoots and the channel did not have a bank of episodes to air and hence decided to put the show on hold for the month of April.
"We did not have a bank of episodes to air as the show had just begun. Also, Kapil's health issues or personal issues has been deviating his attention and focus from work. In such a scenario, it is better that we keep the show on hold for now. At least the whole of April, we aren’t shooting. We will figure out the rest once he feels better. Right now, we want to him get better first. So that once he is back, he is completely devoted to work like he has always been," a source close to the show was quoted as saying to Indian Express.

The show opened to mixed response and the TRPs were not as high as it was expected. "His fans did watch their favourite comedian’s new show but it lacked the punch that they expected. However, owing to personal issues, he had to cancel Rani Mukerji’s shoot and this left us in a lurch," the source added.
Kapil had reportedly cancelled his shoot with Rani Mukerji in the first week of March itself. The actor had kept Rani waiting for three hours and cancelled the shoot at the last moment.
Kapil also drew flack after he went on an abusive Twitter rant last week and blamed his former manager Preeti Simone and SpotboyE Editor Vickey Lalwani of harassing him. Reports state Kapil was unhappy with the fact that his new show had not got positive reviews. Kapil's abusive call to Lalwani soon after was made public by the latter and the journalist even filed a case against him.
In 2016, Kapil got into a heated argument mid-flight with his Comedy Nights With Kapil Sharma cast members Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar. Both Grover and Asgar left the show soon after and The Kapil Sharma Show went off air soon after.
