
In Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty and the late actor's house manager Samuel Miranda have been sent to 4-day custody. The Mumbai court has sent them to the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) custody till September 9.
Showik and Samuel were arrested yesterday (September, 4) after a day-long questioning, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in a case related to the actor's death. Both have been arrested under sections 20 B, 27 A, 28, and 29 of the NDPS Act. The two arrests are in addition to the other three arrests - Basit Parihar, Kaizan Ibraham, and Zaid. Kaizan Ibraham was sent to judicial custody for 14 days till September 19.
Earlier today, Showik and Samuel were taken to a hospital for their medical check-up before they were produced in the court.
As per the reports, Rhea, will be summoned by the NCB on Sunday (September 6) for questioning. Showik had also reportedly confessed of Rhea’s involvement in the drug procurement.
As per the chat records submitted by the Enforcement Directorate to the CBI, Rhea has been procuring drugs for Sushant. Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14.
The case is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate on money laundering charges, and the Narcotics Control Bureau.
