Christopher Nolan's film on atomic bomb, Oppenheimer wins the top award. The film won the Best Picture Oscar as producer Emma Thomas said the film would not be possible without Nolan. 

Emma Stone creates history as she takes home the Best Actress Oscars for the second time for her performance in Poor Things.

Stone starred in the surrealist fantasy Poor Things, about a dead woman who is resurrected, using her child’s brain instead of her own.

She previously won the Best Actress category for her work in the musical film La La Land.

“My dress is broken,” Stone revealed as she went on stage to receive her trophy. “I think it happened during I’m Just Ken.”
 

Christopher Nolan wins his first Oscar for Best Director for the brilliant Oppenheimer. 

'I will dedicate my award to peacemakers' said Best Actor winner Cillian Murphy as he accept the award for his brilliant performance in Oppenheimer. 

This is Murphy's first nomination and first win at the Oscars. 

Indian set designer Nitin Chandrakant Desai, actors Matthew Perry and rockstar Tina Turner were some of the artist who were remembered at the In Memoriam segment at the Oscars.. 

For nearly 30 years, the Oscars has been recognising the artists — on screen and off — who have passed away over the last year in this segment.

This year’s montage was set to the song Time to Say Goodbye, with tenor Andrea Bocelli lending vocals to the live performance.

Siblings Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell win the Best Song Oscar for their song 'What Was I Made For?' from the hit film Barbie which has been hugely snubbed at the 96th Academy Awards this year. 

This is the duo's second win at the Oscars. They had won previously for the James Bond song No Time to Die

“I had a nightmare about this last night,” Eilish said, before bursting into nervous laughter. “I just didn’t think this would happen. 

The singer also thanked her childhood best friend “for playing Barbies growing up”.

Looks like Oppenheimer is going to dominate the Oscar awards this year. The film picks up its fifth Oscar for Best Original Score. 

Ryan Gosling just 'kenergized' the Oscars with his performance of 'I'm Just Ken'- Best Song nominee at this year's Academy Awards. Gosling dressed in all pink danced with 65 dancers on stage including actor Simu Liu and composer Marc Ronson. 

British film Zone Of Interest picks up its second Oscar for the night. This time for Best Sound. "Thank you to the Academy for listening to us" the winners say.

It's happening! Hollywood's biggest night, the 96th Academy Awards is underway at the Dolby Theatres in Los Angeles. The Oscar Awards celebrate the best of American cinema at the ceremony. This year, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer is leading with 13 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Director. Poor Things and Killers of The Flower Moon are the other two films which have also dominated the nominations list this year.
