Kanye West’s financial woes confirmed? Attorney accuses him of non-payment of dues and ignoring calls

Rapper Ye, also known as Kanye West, has been accused of non-payment of dues by his attorney representing him in an ongoing case. According to reports, Brian Brumfield has claimed that the Yeezy founder has stopped responding to his calls or texts and that he owes him money.

The attorney has requested to be relieved from representing the rapper in his suit against an autograph dealer who claims the hitmaker punched him and assaulted him. Brumfield further claims in docs obtained by ABC 7 that their working relationship ended on June 21.

“Defendant, Kanye West, terminated relationship on 6/21/2024. Defendant also will not speak to counsel and defendant refuses to pay counsel as well,” the documents read. On June 29, there will be hearing on he attorney's motion.

Ye is yet to respond to the reports.

Brumfield was representing the rapper in a lawsuit, filed on January 10, 2022, by Justin Poplawski and his wife, Tiffany Marshall, that accuses him of assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence.

Poplawski claimed in the lawsuit that the rapper assaulted him outside of the Soho Warehousesocial club on South Santa Fe Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. When he asked for an apology, the rapper allegedly struck him a few more times before leaving the scene.

Rumours are rife that Ye is currently facing serious financial problems. The rapper has allegedly been burning through his savings at an alarming rate and that has also started reflecting on his bank balance.

In Touch Weekly further claimed in a report that he has been flying coach instead of private jets as he's got no choice but to cutback on expenses.
