Bollywood celebrates International yoga day

Today, June 21, the entire world is celebrating International Yoga Day. The ancient practice fromIndia has transcended geographical boundaries, and now millions of people worldwide practice it. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the International Day of Yoga with the theme “Yoga for Self and Society.”

Many Indian celebritiesmarkedthe day by sharing pictures and videos of themselvesperforming yoga, seeminglyencouragingtheir millions of fans and followersto incorporate yoga into their day-to-day lives for healthy living.

Malaika Arora, a huge fitness freak, has been performing yoga for many years. Marking the day, the actress shared a gratitude post dedicated to yoga. Sharing the clip, she wrote, ''Gratitude post 🙏….. #internationalyogaday🧘‍♀️.''

Shilpa Shetty,another fitness enthusiast diva of the tinsel town, is49 years old and hasdefied age by maintaining a fit physiqueand toned body. Shetty, who often sharesfun-filled workout videos, has posted a videoencouraging her followers to adopt the ancient practice.

She wrote in the caption, ''Every emotion is connected with the breath. If you change the breath and its rhythm with awareness, you can change the emotion 🧘‍♀️.''

Actress Rakul Preet delighted her fans by sharing photos with her husband Jackky Bhagnani showing them performing asanas. South actor and Union Minister Suresh Gopi took part in a Yoga session at Kerala Arts And Crafts Village, Kovalam.

Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini performed yoga in Mathura. During her interaction with news agency ANI, the actress said, "Lord Krishna spread the message of Yoga all over the world...Everyone should practice yoga daily..."
