Katy Perry has found herself in the midst of the controversy after Orange is the new black actress Ruby Rose accused the singer sexual assaulting her two decades ago in a night club.
A day after Australian actress Ruby Rose accused pop star Katy Perry of sexual assault, it has been learned that an investigation has been launched against the pop star.
Perry is under investigation by Victoria Police over Rose's allegation. On Tuesday, the Australian actress shocked the world with a scathing post against the ‘’Roar'' singer, claiming that she assaulted her in a nightclub in Melbourne almost two decades ago.

On Tuesday, Rose, best known for her role in TV sitcom "Orange is the New Black'' in a post on Threads shared that she was sexually assaulted by Katy Perry at a Nightclub in Australia. In a series of social media post, the actress gave details about the incident that happened two deaced ago when the actress was in 20s.
"Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at Spice Market Nightclub in Melbourne," Rose wrote on Threads. "Who gives a s*** what she thinks."
Hours after the shocking claims, Ruby revealed that she had finalized all the reports to police. Hence, she will no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved.

Without taking Perry's name, in a statement to AFP, Victoria state police said they were "investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010".
"As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage," a spokesperson added.
Detectives from the Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation team have also confirmed to the Herald Sun that they are investigating the case.
"Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s CBD," a spokesperson shared.

Katy Perry's rep denies, calls claims: ‘dangerous reckless lies’
A representative for Perry denied the claims. In a statement to Variety, they said, “The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies. Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”

After revealing that Katy sexually assaulted her, the actress went on to give further details of incident sharing that
"She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend’s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her,” Rose alleged in a post on X.
