Blake Lively has again knocked on the doors of the court, but this time to take a huge legal fee from director and actor Justin Baldoni over their much-publicised legal battle that started after the release of It Ends with US. As reported by People, the Gossip Girl star has asked a judge to award her $8,035,040.88 in attorneys' fees and litigation costs.
Lively’s attorney has revealed the exact amount in legal fees she’s demanding from Baldoni. However, this is not the first time she has sought damages and attorneys’ fees.
Blake Lively seeks legal fees from Justin Baldoni
On Monday (June 29), Lively sought $ 8 million in attorney and litigation costs after the dismissal of his defamation lawsuit against the actress. In the filing, the actor's attorney has sought $7,495,526.87 in attorneys' fees and $539,514.01 in litigation costs and expenses incurred during the case.
As per People, her attorney said that her work required to defeat the lawsuit was "comprehensive and necessary to achieve the complete win that was secured."

They have also said that Lively, "has paid, and continues to pay" her legal bills. Further mentioning that they will seek "any additional attorneys' fees" incurred in litigating the fee request itself. With all this, it has also been mentioned that Lively believes she is owed, and the fight is far from over.
What court has said on this?
Judge Lewis J. Liman has given time to Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios. They have to respond to the request by July 13. After that, it will be decided whether they have to pay the full amount, reduce it, or deny parts of the request.
Baldoni's team has not released any statement as of now.
The update has come weeks after Lively got the green flag from the US District Judge Lewis J. Liman to pursue attorneys' fees, litigation costs and damages in her legal battle with Baldoni. However, they denied her request for treble and punitive damages.
"Blake Lively won her motion under Civil Code Section 47.1," the attorneys said, as per People. "Today's ruling makes it clear that Ms. Lively brought her claims in good faith, that there was no evidence she acted with malice, and that she is the prevailing defendant under Section 47.1."
In May, Lively and Baldoni resolved their legal dispute through a settlement.
