Eminem to release his 12th studio album in 2024, reveals Dr Dre

Fans of Eminem have reason to rejoice as Dr Dre, the legendary rapper/producer, announced on Tuesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! that Eminem's 12th studio album is currently in the works and slated for release "this year."

Dre, 59, excitedly shared the news, stating, "Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now — Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year. And I actually talked to him, and he said it's OK for me to make that announcement right here on this show."

The Grammy-winning producer revealed that he has contributed songs to the album and described it as "fire." Despite his involvement, Dre admitted that Eminem keeps his music close and that he himself hasn't heard everything completed yet.

"[Eminem] holds his music close to his chest, so I haven’t even heard everything," Dre explained. "I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done, but I’m gonna hear it, and he’s putting out an album this year."

Eminem's most recent original studio album, Music to Be Murdered By, was released in 2020 and featured the hit "Godzilla" with Juice Wrld. He followed up with Music to Be Murdered By - Side Bthe same year and later released the greatest hits album Curtain Call 2in 2022.

On Tuesday, Dre was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Snoop Dogg, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and Eminem attended the ceremony to support him.

Dre has been vocal about his admiration for Eminem's talent. In a recent interview on SiriusXM’s This Life of Mine with James Corden, Dre said, "I think he’s the best MC ever. Point blank, period."
