Diddy’s former assistant makes shocking statement after horrifying video surfaces

A former assistant of Sean "Diddy" Combs has spoken out about the recent allegations of abuse made by Cassie Ventura. Suzi Siegel, who worked for Combs from 2008 to 2009, told a publication that while she never witnessed Combs being abusive towards Ventura during her time as his assistant, she was not surprised by the accusations or the recently surfaced footage of him assaulting Ventura in a hotel in 2016.

In a conversation with CNN, Siegel opened up about feeling "sick and violently angry" upon learning about the allegations. This reaction was sparked by surveillance footage released on Friday, May 17, which showed Combs assaulting Ventura in a hotel in 2016. The footage aligns with the claims Ventura made in a lawsuit filed in November, which has since been settled.

Reflecting on her time working closely with Combs and Ventura, Siegel said, "I rode in limos with them, I went to parties with them. I guess what I would say is, even though I never saw anything that could corroborate what's in that lawsuit and what we just saw, there was not one cell in my body that was surprised."

She added, "I was around him a lot and I got a feeling for who he was. I didn't see anything that could get him in trouble. But I think that [there's a] power dynamic in a situation like that — especially her, at the beginning of her career, so young and beautiful and talented."

Siegel noted that she was employed by Combs around the beginning of his relationship with Ventura, who he started dating in 2007. While Siegel did not personally experience mistreatment, she recognised the potential for such behaviour.

"Obviously, I saw it with the rest of America today. But when I saw it, I knew that it was something that he could be capable of," she said.

In response to the footage, Ventura's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, issued a statement emphasising the severity of the incident.

"The gut-wrenching video depicting Combs kicking and dragging my client has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behaviour of Mr. Combs," he said. "Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light."

The allegations against Combs extend beyond Ventura's claims. Since her lawsuit, which included accusations of rape, sex trafficking, and domestic violence, other individuals have come forward with similar accusations.

Combs has denied all allegations of wrongdoing, and his lawyer, Ben Brafman, stated that the settlement with Ventura was "in no way an admission of wrongdoing."
