Chris Hemsworth says he is 'failing miserably' at homeschooling his kids

Chris Hemsworth

Like a lot of parents across the world, actor Chris Hemsworth has been struggling to homeschool his children amid self-isolation.

The actor, whose film 'Extraction' released on Netflix worldwide on Friday, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show via video conferencing recently and admitted that it takes a lot of coaxing to make his three kids sit down to study.

Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky have three children, daughter India Rose, 7, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 6.

"I'm trying, I'm failing miserably," the 'Avengers: Endgame' star said, noting that the kids spend time watching YouTube videos rather than working. "It's sort of four or five hours of negotiation and bribery and then maybe 20 minutes of actual work, if that."

The actor though admitted that a lot has changed in academia since his days as a student.

"I was talking to the teacher about it, the adding and subtracting and so on, it's not quite as straightforward now," he said.

"There's all these new little tricks and so on, which I don't understand. So good luck me teaching my kids."

The actor admitted that despite his attempts at teaching and making them attend school lessons, this semester is not going to be the best one for them.
