Priyanka Chopra visits Golden Temple in Amritsar, washes dishes | Watch viral video

Priyanka Chopra is currently in India, and during her visit, she made a spiritual trip to the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Dressed in a traditional attire, she not only offered prayers but also participated in ’seva,' a sacred act of selfless service practised by devotees, where one contributes to the chores done in the Gurudwara.

Beyond India, Chopra has established herself as a global star in the West and has been living in the USA for the last decade. However, over time, she has never forgotten how to respect her traditions, and this is what makes her exceptional.

On Tuesday (March 31), Priyanka visited the famous Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, a sacred site in Amritsar, Punjab, India, and one of the most important gurdwaras in Sikhism. For her visit, the actress wore a peach-coloured salwar suit with white embroidery. During her time in the temple, she covered her head with the dupatta, following the traditional rules of the Gurudwara.

She not only offered prayers at the temple but also did seva, as part of which she was seen washing utensils with other women present at the premises. Several videos of the global star washing dishes have gone viral, with netizens praising how she volunteers to do selfless service. In another video, the actress, after washing the utensils, is seen warmly greeting the other women by folding her hands and smiling.

Before her visit to Golden Temple, the actress has been sharing glimpse from her visit to Amritsar on her Instagram. Recently, she shared a picture of Amritsari kulcha, a famous dish of the town. Sharing the picture, she wrote, "Just Amritsar things..." The meal featured two kulchas with the bowls filled with chole (a dish made with chickpeas), butter, pickled onions and other things.

What the Quantico actress is doing in Amritsar is not know yet. But as per the reports, it must be related to her next project Varanasi. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the movie marks Chopra's comeback to Indian screens after a long time. The movie also starring South superstar Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran will release in April 2027.
