Ajay Devgn's Maidaan given green signal by CBFC without any cuts

The CBFC has cleared Ajay Devgn's Maidaan without any cuts. According to reports, the film which is based on a real-life incident and has Devgn playing a football coach, is over three hours long.
The film has not been asked for any cuts and the makers have been reportedly asked to make a few additions as well to Maidaan.
What has CBFC asked Maidaan team to do
The CBFC gave a green signal to the film which has been directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma. No scene or dialogue has been removed from the film. The CBFC, however, asked the team to add a disclaimer stating that "the film is a work of fiction inspired by true events available in the public domain, views of the legendary football players, and research of writers with fictional elements".
The disclaimer will also add that the use of certain dialogues has been done to only dramatise the incidents. It will also has to state that the film is not made to incite any lawlessness.
The team of Maidaan has been asked to insert an anti-smoking ticker in scenes where the characters are seen smoking.
They have been told to mention the end credits in Hindi, too, apart from English. The length of the film is 3 hours, 1 minute and 30 seconds long (181.30 minutes), as per a report in Bollywood Hungama.
About Maidaan
Based on a true story, Maidaan has Devgn playing Syed Abdul Rahim, a former football coach and manager of the Indian football team. Rahim is regarded as the architect of modern Indian football.
It also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh in pivotal roles.
Earlier, the trailer of the movie showed Ajay's character working hard to bring glory in football to India. In the trailer, he can be seen building a team, including recruiting young men from slums and training them to make it to the team which is sent to the Olympics.

Ever since its inception, the film has faced multiple delays. In 2020, producer Boney Kapoor had to dismantle the film set due to the lockdown imposed during thecoronavirus pandemic. In May 2021, the set of Maidaan was destroyed by Cyclone Tauktae. Maidaan is all set to be released in theatres on April 10, the same day as Bade Miyaan Chhote Miyan hits theatres.
