Benny Blanco brought deep fryer and nacho machine to movie theatre date with Selena Gomez

Benny Blanco, 36, recently shared details about the extraordinary lengths he goes to in order to impress his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, 31. During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, May 14, Blanco opened up about the elaborate plans he made for their dates and special occasions.

As their one-year dating anniversary approaches around Gomez's July 22 birthday, Blanco reminisced about the memorable Valentine's Day he planned for her. "I wanted to do something she loves," Blanco told Stern, 70, reflecting on the romantic day. "She loves movies, so I rented out a movie theatre. She loves a comfortable couch, so I took out the seats and put a huge couch in the front."

To make the day even more special, Blanco consulted with Gomez's family and friends to prepare all her favourite snacks. "I talked to her grandma, her mom, her best friend, and this is what I came up with," he explained.

The music producer then prepared a variety of treats for their movie date, including homemade fried pickles, items from Taco Bell, Hot Cheetos, and movie theatre nachos.

"I brought in a nacho machine, and then we watched her favourite movie growing up, Almost Famous. We ate the nachos, and she loved it," Blanco recalled. "She's the easiest to please."

"You’re knocking it out of the park," Stern remarked. "I see love here. I'm predicting marriage."

"You and me both," Blanco responded, smiling.

Blanco also revealed that he and Gomez had been dating for months before going public with their relationship in December 2023. He shared that he has "some really good stuff" planned for Gomez for their upcoming anniversary, hinting at more thoughtful surprises.

"People always said this to me, when you meet your best friend, you know. She truly is my best friend," Blanco said. When Stern asked if a proposal was on the horizon, Blanco joked, "I gotta get my act together."

"You got a ring?" Stern inquired.

"I don’t have anything. What do you mean? I got no shoes on," Blanco quipped, adding with a laugh, "I gotta get my act together."
