Russia was expelled from the club of the world's leading industrial nations in 2014 after annexing Crimea from Ukraine, but Trump says the current membership is outdated.

Leaders from the Group of Seven: the US, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan had been scheduled to meet by videoconference this month but Trump said on Saturday that he plans to hold an in-person&nbsp;summit&nbsp;later, possibly in September.

Calling the current lineup of countries "very outdated" the US leader also said he planned to invite other countries, including Russia, to join the meeting.

But EU foreign affairs high representative Josep Borrell said that Russia had not changed course since 2014 and should not be re-admitted.

Later the Indian government said that Trump had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the&nbsp;G7&nbsp;summit.

Trump and Modi spoke by phone on Tuesday and the US president "conveyed his desire to expand the ambit of the grouping beyond the existing membership, to include other important countries including India," the Delhi government said in a statement.

Modi commended Trump "for his creative and far-sighted approach, acknowledging the fact that such an expanded forum would be in keeping with the emerging realities of the post-COVID world," the statement added.

Local governments may also designate other high-risk facilities such as libraries, hospitals, restaurants or churches.

"We won't be able to provide the food people need to survive, or the health care they need or the water or sanitation or the nutrition support which helps to keep 2 million malnourished children from dying," she said.

The U.N.-coordinated humanitarian plan received $3.2 billion last year, but so far in 2020 has only secured $474 million, aid chief Mark Lowcock said on Thursday, adding that most agencies are weeks away from being broke.

Lowcock, asked about Saudi Arabia co-hosting the event, said Riyadh was a large donor and the U.N. would continue to call out warring parties on actions "they should not be doing".

Saudi Arabia has already pledged $525 million. The United States said last month it would extend $225 million in emergency aid for food.

Some $180 million of required funding is needed to combat coronavirus in a country with shattered health systems and inadequate testing capabilities.

The events were sparked by the killing of George Floyd - a black man who died after a white officer continued kneeling on is neck even after he had pleaded that he could not breathe.

While some Grindr users welcomed the removal of the filter, others said the company had taken too long to implement the change, and had done the "bare minimum".

The ethnicity filters have been controversial for years, but they went unchanged even as Grindr launched&nbsp;an anti-racism campaign&nbsp;on the platform in 2018.

Grindr is not the only LGBT dating app to allow filtering by race. Other apps, including The League and Hinge, allow users to filter out people of certain ethnicities as well.

However, the spotlight will now move to others that have yet to take a similar stance.
