<p>Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has agreed to support Sweden's membership in NATO, the bloc's Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Tuesday (July 11), in a surprising turn of events.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The announcement came as a breath of fresh air amidst Turkey's previous roadblock to approving Sweden's bid to join the Western alliance.&nbsp;According to Stoltenberg, Erdogan has given his consent on Monday to present Sweden's NATO membership application to the Turkish parliament for approval.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Following discussions in Vilnius involving Erdogan and Sweden's Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Stoltenberg announced that Turkey had agreed to proceed with Sweden's NATO membership approval. He said this marks the occasion as a "historic day".&nbsp;</p>

<p>He came out firing huge serves and forehands and rocked Alcaraz with a decisive service break to take the opener.</p>

<p>Berrettini could not maintain the intensity though and Alcaraz raised his tempo to seize control early in the second set, running his opponent ragged at times.</p>

<p>"If you had a malicious actor who was able to get their hands on a nuclear weapon, they would find the weapons stored in a state of incomplete assembly," he said adding, "They would need to be completed by installing specialised equipment and then unlocking permissive action links, and in order to do that they would need the cooperation of someone from the 12th Directorate".&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 12th Directorate, also known as the 12th Main Directorate, is a division within the Russian Ministry of Defense that is responsible for the security, storage, and maintenance of nuclear weapons. It specifically focuses on the management and protection of Russia's nuclear arsenal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Budanov said that the nuclear storage facility at Voronezh-45, operated by military unit no. 14254, which is shrouded in secrecy, holds small nuclear devices that can be carried in a backpack.</p>

<p>"This was one of the key storage facilities for these backpacks," he told Reuters.&nbsp;</p>
