The wife of jailed Russian-British journalist Vladimir Kara-Murza said on Thursday (Apr 11) that she feared that her husband would meet the same fate as late Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny. It has been two years since Kara-Murza, 42, was detained in Moscow and later sentenced to 25 years on treason and other trumped-up charges. Kara-Murza was among the few opposition figures who chose to stay in Russia. He survived two poisoning attempts.

Speaking to The Guardian, Kara-Murza's wife Evgenia, who lives in the US with their three children, said, "He believes it was his duty to be in Russia and continue to stand with those who fight the regime. What are the Rules of Mike Tyson Vs Jake Paul Boxing Bout?

The upcoming boxing match between social media star Jake Paul and boxing legend Mike Tyson will be held on July 20 this year at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The fight will be streamed globally on Netflix.

The fight will be in an exhibition format - which means it is not on a competitive basis but rather focuses on demonstrating the skills of the fighters. Fighters in this format of boxing exhibit their skills while usually being respectful.

There have been discussions over the fight’s safety considering that Tyson is 57 years old and his opponent Jake Paul is 30 years younger than him. Several media reports said the fight would be an exhibition with both fighters wearing headgear and heavier gloves.

Though the fight is expected to be exhibition, Tyson said that it would be a real fight. “I’ve seen a YouTube video of him (Jake) at 16 doing weird dancing. That’s not the guy I’m fighting. This is a guy who’s going to try and hurt me, which I’m accustomed to, and he’s going to be greatly mistaken,” Tyson told Fox News.

The Controversies Surrounding UFC Legend Jon Jones

Jon Jones (United States), the former UFC Light Heavyweight and current Heavyweight champion, is perhaps one of the best MMA fighters in the history of the combat sport. Jones has a record of 27 wins and just one loss.

The 'INDIA' bloc is still reeling from the impact of its co-founder Nitish Kumar's exit. Moreover, Nitish choosing to ally with the ruling BJP-led NDA has not bode well for the opposition aiming to remove PM Modi from power.

During his Light Heavyweight reign, Jones failed a drug test for cocaine in 2015, and the champion announced he entered a rehabilitation facility.

Jones has been charged for driving under the influence (DUI) twice - first in May 2012 and then in March 2020. He was arrested in both the instances and was later released from jail.

In September 2021, Jones’ partner Jessie Moses called the police and said he had put his hands on her. When the police arrived, they found blood on Moses clothes, and she was bleeding from her nose and mouth. He was arrested for felony battery and domestic violence. In December, domestic violence charge was dropped. When it comes to the felony tampering with a police vehicle charge, Jones pleaded no contest and was ordered to pay compensation, and attend anger management therapy.

In 2015, Jones was arrested for a hit-and-run case, after his vehicle struck a car being driven by a pregnant woman. The woman broke her arm. Jones fled the scene and was later arrested and stripped of his UFC Light Heavyweight title. He pleaded guilty and avoided jail time.

This year, American media reported that Jones threatened to kill a drug administrator. The administrator - a woman - went to Jones’ house to collect a sample from him for the UFC’s new anti-doping programme. The reports said that Jones looked intoxicated and threatened to kill the administrator. However, Jones denied the claim and said the administrator behaved unprofessionally.

Gaia BH1: The Closest Known Black Hole to Earth

All images: NASA/ESA (Representative images)

Black holes are the most mysterious cosmic objects. They have been studied for years but still haven’t been fully understood. They’re huge concentrations of matter packed into very tiny spaces. A black hole is so dense that gravity just beneath its surface, the event horizon, is strong enough that nothing – not even light – can escape.

Around 40 Quintillion Black Holes in the Universe

Astronomers have estimated that there are around 40 quintillion black holes in our universe. Which black hole is closest to the solar system and our planet Earth? Let’s take a look:

Gaia BH1 has been dubbed as the closest-yet blackhole to Earth. It was discovered by astronomers on November 2, 2022, using the Gemini North telescope in Hawaii.

Gaia BH1 is around 1,560 light years away from Earth, in the direction of the constellation Ophiuchus. Now even, 1,560 light years is surely an astronomical distance. But it is nothing when it comes to the size of the universe - 93 billion light years.

Gaia BH1 is approximately 10 times more massive than our Sun, making it a stellar-mass black hole.
