United States President Joe Biden on Sunday (May 19) called for an immediate ceasefire in war-torn Gaza and said that he was making continuous efforts to ensure "lasting, durable peace" in the region that would also include the creation of a Palestinian state.

"This is one of the hardest, most complicated problems in the world. There's nothing easy about it," said Biden while addressing students at a graduation ceremony at the former university of civil rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr.

"I know it angers and frustrates many of you, including my family, but most of all, I know it breaks your heart. It breaks mine as well."

The US president said that he was pushing for an "immediate ceasefire to stop the fighting" and expressed his willingness to bring back all the hostages held captive by Hamas.

He then said that he was working towards achieving "lasting, durable peace" in the wider Middle East that would also eventually lead to an independent Palestinian state, which he termed as the "only solution."

The 81-year-old leader further reacting to the Gaza protests that have taken over several universities in the country, said that he would pay attention to "non-violent" demonstrations and further stated that everyone's voices should be heard.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said in an official readout that 46 cases of cryptosporidium, a disease that can cause symptoms such as diarrhoea and vomiting, had been confirmed in Brixham after people drank water suspected to be contaminated with a waterborne parasite.

"The boil notice remains for around 2,500 properties in Hillhead, upper parts of Brixham and Kingswear who are advised to continue to boil their drinking water before consuming it," the readout said.&nbsp;

The government has opened bottled water collection points that remain open from 7 am to 9 pm (local time).&nbsp;

At the same time, the company responsible for the potable water chaos has been ordered to pay $145 by May 21 to the affected households.&nbsp;

An English-based education is a tremendous opportunity for any young person today, and you can receive that here in Moldova at a very high level," he remarked. Perciun pointed out the cost-effectiveness of Moldovan education compared to that in the European Union. "The cost for a medical degree here is about ten times less than in an EU country. On average, studying in Moldova is three to four times cheaper. For instance, while an IT degree in Holland might cost 15,000-20,000 euros, in Moldova, the same degree would be about 2,500-3,000 euros. This is a highly competitive offer, even compared to Indian prices," he stated. Currently, there are about 2,000 Indian students in Moldova, mostly enrolled in medical courses. However, Perciun is keen to diversify this trend. "We are expanding our programs to include software engineering, veterinary medicine, psychology, and business. We have a wide array of subjects and are working to increase our offerings. We also have a significant number of students from Israel, but the Indian market is a major focus for us right now," he said. Perciun believes that Moldova can help meet the high demand for higher education in India. "India is a vibrant, young market with a huge demand for higher education. The Biden administration has actively chased the 'mega-deal' where Washington has agreed to give benefits to Saudi Arabia including a defence pact and assistance with a civilian nuclear programme with uranium enrichment capacity in exchange for providing first-ever recognition of Israel.

Earlier in the month of September, Prince Mohammed in an interview with the US network Fox News said that "every day we get closer" to a deal to normalise ties. This was before Hamas launched unprecedented attacks against Israel.
