Russia has threatened to take military&nbsp;measures to counter NATO after it was announced that the United States will be deploying long-range fire missiles in Germany for the first time since the 1980s.&nbsp;

AT&amp;T said the compromised data includes files containing AT&amp;T records of calls and texts of nearly all of AT&amp;T's cellular and AT&amp;T's landline customers interacting with those cellular numbers between May 2022 and October 2022 but does not contain the content of calls or texts or personal information such as social security numbers.

AT&amp;T shares were down two per cent&nbsp;in premarket trading.

The FBI said it worked with AT&amp;T and the Justice Department "collaboratively through the first and second delay process, all while sharing key threat intelligence to bolster FBI investigative equities and to assist AT&amp;T's incident response work."

The Federal Communications Commission said it is also has an ongoing investigation.

The compromised data also includes records from January&nbsp;2, 2023, for a very small number of customers.

AT&amp;T said it first learned on April 19 that a hacker had claimed to have unlawfully accessed and copied AT&amp;T call logs. The company said its investigation found hackers had between April 14 and April 25 unlawfully exfiltrated files containing AT&amp;T records of customer call and text interactions. The records also include AT&amp;T customers of mobile virtual network operators using AT&amp;T's wireless network.

These records identify telephone numbers with which a wireless number interacted during these periods and aggregate call duration. A subset of records includes one or more cell site identification number.

AT&amp;T said it has closed off the point of unlawful access and will notify customers of the incident.

In March, AT&amp;T said it was investigating a data set released on the "dark web" and said its preliminary analysis showed it impacted approximately 7.6 million current account holders and 65.4 million former account holders. The company said the data set appeared to be from 2019 or earlier.

AT&amp;T is working with law enforcement and said it had delayed public notification based on a determination by the Justice Department. AT&amp;T added it does not believe that the data is publicly available.

A pod of 77 pilot whales has perished after washing ashore on a beach in Orkney, potentially marking the largest mass stranding in decades.

The British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) found that 12 of the animals at Tresness Beach on the island of Sanday were still alive when they came out of the water.

Later, the decision was taken to euthanise them after refloating efforts failed.

The stranded pod consisted of whales of all ages and genders, including males reaching up to seven meters (22ft) in length, alongside females, calves, and juveniles.

Experts said it was too early to identify the cause of the stranding, but it seems like one of the whales got into trouble and the rest of the pod tried to help.

The public is being asked to stay away from the area while the post-mortem is being carried out.

This stranding event could be the largest recorded in Scotland since the Scottish Marine Animal Stranding Scheme's (SMASS) inception in 1995, although similar incidents have occurred in recent years.

Last year an entire pod of 55 pilot whales died following a stranding on Lewis.

Just 15 of the whales were alive when they were washed ashore. One was successfully re-floated while the others had to be euthanised.

As per the Natural History Museum, the largest UK stranding took place in 1927 when 126 out of more than 130 false killer whales died in the Dornoch Firth in the Highlands.

BDMLR medics from Orkney and Inverness arrived to help in the rescue operation, but Neave-Webb's assessment indicated the whales may have been stranded for an extended period, reducing their chances of survival."

She described the scene as quite horrible and very emotional.

Although the rescuers tried to keep the whales alive by pouring seawater over them, the decision was later taken to euthanise them.

Andrew Brownlow of the Scottish Marine Animal Stranding Scheme said mass strandings of this scale are becoming more common in Scotland.

"Earlier it used to be strange to have a mass stranding event, certainly of this size, but now this is very common,” Brownlow was quoted saying by BBC.

"The increase in strandings is a worrying trend. It's unclear if this is due to a rise in animal populations or new environmental threats,” Brownlow said.

Namik Tan, a lawmaker for the opposition CHP party who previously served as Turkey's ambassador to the United States, called out the government for its friendly relations with Russia.

"We were the only NATO country that attended the 24th SCO Summit last week," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

"Isn't it a contradiction?"&nbsp;

Erdogan, who has roots in political Islam and is an outspoken critic of Israel, also called for more NATO involvement in the war between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.&nbsp;

"Israel's threats and attempts to spread the conflict must come to an end," he said.&nbsp;

"Otherwise, our region will face the risk of deeper conflicts and even a war."
