The stance shared by Netanyahu led to a heated debate where he wanted the top ministerial body to approve a series of maps, drawn up by the IDF to keep troops in the Philadelphi Corridor -- a narrow 14.5-km-long stretch of land along Gaza's southern border with Egypt,&nbsp;during the first phase of the hostage-ceasefire being negotiated.

The stance taken by Netanyahu apparently 'horrified' Gallant who said Hamas would never agree to the proposal.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“The significance of this is that Hamas won’t agree to it, so there won’t be an agreement and there won’t be any hostages released,” Gallant told ministers, according to the transcript of the meeting leaked in media.

McMaster in his latest book,&nbsp;"At War with Ourselves: My Tour of Duty in the Trump White House" stated that&nbsp;despite Trump's diktat, the then defence secretary, Jim Mattis, planned to deliver a military package worth $150 million to Pakistan that included armoured vehicles.&nbsp;

“It was difficult to get State and Defence even to comply with Trump’s directives to stop certain activities. I discovered that contrary to the South Asia strategy, which called for the suspension of all aid to Pakistan with a few exceptions,"&nbsp;McMaster wrote in the book.&nbsp;

"When Mattis visited Islamabad in the coming weeks, the Pentagon was going to deliver a military aid package that included more than USD 150 million worth of armoured vehicles."

After Trump heard about Mattis's plans, he called for a meeting with him, the CIA deputy director and other senior officials.&nbsp;

"I started by noting that the president (Trump) had been very clear on multiple occasions to suspend aid to the Pakistanis until they halted support for terrorist organisations that were killing Afghans, Americans, and coalition members in Afghanistan," wrote&nbsp;McMaster.&nbsp;

"We had all heard Trump say, 'I do not want any money going to Pakistan',” said&nbsp;McMaster as Mattis reluctantly halted the shipment of assistance.&nbsp;

A Supreme Court judge earlier on Friday ordered the suspension of Elon Musk-owned X (formerly Twitter) after the social media network failed to comply with an order to name a new legal representative in the country.&nbsp;

Judge Alexandre de Moraes handed the ruling and ordered the "immediate, complete and total suspension of X's operations" in the country "until all court orders are complied with, fines are duly paid and a&nbsp;new legal representative for the company is appointed in the country”.

The Internet Service Providers (ISP) and app stores in the South American country were&nbsp;given five days to block access to X. Meanwhile, individuals or companies who use&nbsp;virtual private networks, or VPNs, to access X, will be subjected to daily fines of $8,900 (50,000 reais)

The decision did not go down well with the billionaire who took potshots at the justice by calling him a 'pseudo-judge'.&nbsp;

"Free speech is the bedrock of democracy and an unelected pseudo-judge in Brazil is destroying it for political purposes," Musk wrote on X.

X has previously stated that it will not comply with the orders of the court to appoint an executive.&nbsp;

"Soon, we expect Judge Alexandre de Moraes will order X to be shut down in Brazil – simply because we would not comply with his illegal orders to censor his political opponents," X posted on its official Global Government Affairs page earlier this week.&nbsp;

"When we attempted to defend ourselves in court, Judge de Moraes threatened our Brazilian legal representative with imprisonment. Even after she resigned, he froze all of her bank accounts," the company wrote.
