Naked Trump statue: A huge Donald Trump effigy, fully naked, popped up alongside the Las Vegas Strip highway over the weekend, before disappearing as mysteriously as it made its debut, according to reports and social media posts.

The all-white supposed art installation, hanging 43-feet tall, caught the attention of several onlookers, shining briefly in all its naked glory not too far away from the Republican presidential candidate's real estate properties in the western US state of Nevada.

The effigy was hung on a construction crane, New York Post said in a report.

The massive structure popped up nearly 28 miles away from the Trump International Hotel in the Sin City.

It was positioned near a highway that connects Las Vegas to Salt Lake City, but a bit away from the main traffic choke points, probably as it was lewd, according to New York Post.

The report said that it was not the only effigy of Trump to appear in recent times. Similar ones are popping up in New York’s Union Square to Los Angeles, Cleveland, Seattle and San Francisco.

It said it was not clear if these are part of a single art project or unrelated.

Some Trump supporters appeared outraged at the abomination, particularly as it was erected ahead of a rally by his Democratic rival Kamala Harris in Las Vegas.

TMZ website reported citing people in the know that the artwork is titled “Crooked and Obscene.”&nbsp;

The original artist's details are not available, but the place where the crane was parked is owned by a Las Vegas-registered trust, said the report in New York Post.

This is not the first time that Trump was mocked in artworks. A so-called baby blimp of Trump was floated in London ahead of the 2020 election.

The Nevada unit of Trump's Republican party described the pop-up as “offensive marionette, designed intentionally for shock value rather than meaningful dialogue,” New York Post said in the report.

Accusing the Democrats, especially their presidential candidate Kamala Harris, of prioritising shock value over substance, it said Trump "is the only candidate in this race standing up for working men and women across Nevada.”&nbsp;

Later in the weekend, one X user wrote: "Called Las Vegas mayor they said they have nothing to do with this statue out in the dessert but it comes down tomorrow. By an artist who wants to stay anonymous and this will go on tour. We need to bring it down like the left did all our historical statues. Expose the creator."

Israeli Defence minister Yoav Gallant said Monday (Sep 30) that the “next phase of the war against Hezbollah will begin soon” amid reports that the Jewish nation has now amassed hundreds of tanks near the Lebanon border. Gallant told a gathering of local council heads in northern Israel that the IDF will “change the situation and return the residents home.”

The Washington Post has reported that Israel has notified the US about its plans for a limited ground operation in Lebanon that may start imminently.

The Israeli military, in a statement, said it was “preparing for the next steps in the fighting”. The Times of Israel reported that the chief of Israel’s northern command, Maj Gen Ori Gordin, has recently approved tactical battle plans with officers who would potentially be involved in a ground offensive in Lebanon.

The Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, meanwhile issued a warning to Iran, saying there was no region in West Asia which was out of the country’s reach. Morning brief: Israel begins ground operation in Lebanon; final phase of voting in India's J-K, and more

Ryan Routh, the 58-year-old man accused of plotting to kill Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at his Florida golf course, pleaded not guilty on Monday to several federal charges.

His lawyer Kristy Militello entered the not guilty plea during a brief arraignment in a West Palm Beach federal courthouse and requested a jury trial.

Wearing a beige prison uniform and shackles on his wrists and ankles, Routh answered "yes, your honor," when the magistrate judge asked him if he was aware of the charges against him.

Routh was arrested on September 15 after a Secret Service agent saw the barrel of a rifle poking out from brush on the perimeter of the West Palm Beach golf course where Trump was playing a round.

The agent opened fire and Routh, who fled in a vehicle, was arrested shortly later.

He has been charged with attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer and firearms offenses.

A federal judge ruled last week that Routh, identified as a Hawaii resident, should remain in custody.

FBI analysis of Routh's phone showed he had been in Florida since August 18, and his devices were located multiple times between that date and September 15 near Trump's golf course and his Mar-a-Lago residence, according to prosecutors.

Before being spotted by the Secret Service agent, Routh spent nearly 12 hours in the vicinity of the Trump International Golf Club, according to his phone location data.

Court documents said Routh allegedly dropped off a box at an unidentified person's home several months before the attempted assassination containing various letters.

One letter, addressed to "The World," allegedly said: "This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I am so sorry I failed you."

"I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster," it said. "It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job."

It was the second assassination attempt on Trump this summer. The first took place on July 13 at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when a gunman opened fire on the former president, killing one person and wounding Trump in the ear.

The candidate was otherwise unharmed, and the gunman was killed at the scene.

The Routh case has been assigned at random to federal District Judge Aileen Cannon -- a Trump appointee who dismissed criminal proceedings against the former president earlier this year over his retention of top-secret documents at his private residence.

FBI analysis of Routh's phone showed he had been in Florida since August 18, and his devices were located multiple times between that date and September 15 near Trump's golf course and his Mar-a-Lago residence, according to prosecutors. Before being spotted by the Secret Service agent, Routh spent nearly 12 hours in the vicinity of the Trump International Golf Club, according to his phone location data. Court documents said Routh allegedly dropped off a box at an unidentified person's home several months before the attempted assassination containing various letters. One letter, addressed to "The World," allegedly said: "This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I am so sorry I failed you." "I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster," it said. "It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job." It was the second assassination attempt on Trump this summer. If the hurricane had not affected, it would have been a two-hour drive from Boiling Springs, South Carolina, to Johnson City, Tennessee. However, it turned into an almost 27-mile overnight journey, the 64-year-old father told USA TODAY on Monday.

Jones was traveling with his wife and her mother and was already in the process of moving from Johnson City to Boiling Springs when Hurricane Helene made landfall. The original plan was for them to drive to Johnson City on Friday so he could walk his daughter down the aisle by 11 am on Saturday.

"I had no cell phone service, no internet or anything like that, so I had no idea the extent of the devastation that lay ahead," Jones said.&nbsp;

He added that he has lived in Tennessee for 42 years and did not expect the&nbsp;degree of destruction caused by the storm.

"I grabbed my backpack, threw in my shaving kit and a couple of days of socks and underwear, grabbed my windbreaker, and off I went," Jones said.

Despite the debris and "quicksand-like" mud ahead of him, he got through the wreckage and back on the Interstate. Jonas, eventually, travelled 26.82 miles, which included 10 by car and about 17 by foot.

He said that the entire experience was a "full circle moment" that ended with Jones, his daughter and their family hugging and shedding tears.

"That power is not, however, unlimited," he added. "When a fetus growing inside a woman reaches viability, when society can assume care and responsibility for that separate life, then -- and only then -- may society intervene."

The nonprofit Center for Reproductive Rights welcomed McBurney's ruling but noted that&nbsp;Georgia&nbsp;Attorney General Chris Carr, a Republican, may ask the state supreme court to block it and reinstate the strict abortion ban.
